That was directed at anyone who thinks you need insider prem knowledge to work the system. I should really use quotes more.

No, it’s an issue. I don’t do transfers, but it’s well set up so you can hardcore it for money if you want (very nice work!). You’d want to make sure the playing field was even first.

I can see this point of view but I’m not sure it’s something I can do anything about, it’s just the nature of the scene in it’s current state. ETF2L’s less forgiving scheduling setup at the moment probably minimises this, ESEA seems to have far bigger fluctuations in scheduling of the two leagues currently played.

Also I’m not sure even teams know that far in advance, sometimes yes but often things are last minute. Ultimately until there’s more riding on the games being played on time, like an ESL style publicity machine for example, it’s going to be pretty casual.

On tonight’s 4-25 vs TT game, as some of you may have noticed the viaduct log is nowhere to be found. If this is recovered from the depths of a server somewhere I can still add it but unless that happens it’s lost to an act of God.

We will get this log up when the server owner is back online, so expect it soon.

Fantasy points should now be updated with the salvaged log, thanks guys.

The Economy has been updated.

On the ESEA side of things showstopper is the fastest appreciating asset piling $1,500 on to his price, while b4nny’s value continues to surge to $32,000. Other players being rapidly acquired include rando and Duwatna. Bargain basement scout ringo’s value is moving up as well.

At the other end it seems there is some caution about acquiring serv0, while the return of blaze has still to capture the imagination of fantasy investors. Lansky of course has started to lose value. Other high priced players losing value are TheFragile, deadbolt, paragon and ninjanick.

ESEA changes can be seen here:

In ETF2L Tek continues to appreciate rapidly as his early season roamer pricing attracts investors in his pocket role, along with atomic after some impressive performances. In fact many 4-25 players are gaining fans. Hafficool’s army of believers continues to swell helped by Reason having a late game last week, and at the bargain end of the scale DamnEasy has been considered good value.

Investors are fleeing kingofsquirrels whose price is dropping even faster than Quad who hasn’t played a game. Skeej’s value has also rapidly dropped and Hys is now surely entering the realms of being underpriced after TLR’s and his personal showing this week. Zebbosai and tonythetiger are also losing value, fantasy players spooked by the impossibility of predicting who will play what class.

ETF2L changes can be seen here:

I’m still tinkering with the rules for this. I’m not entirely happy that there has generally been more price loss than gain, so things will probably have evolved a little more by next week.

Gentleman Jon

New weeky games are live – with prizes!

The ESEA Week 7 and ETF2L Week 5 mini games are now open. Each competition has prizes, donated by Wiethoofd, consisting of profesional, specialised or vanilla kill streak kits for the top 3 teams.

Create your ESEA team here:
http://beta.fantasytf2.com/PlayerTeam/Create?seasonid=5&name=&weekid=5

Create your ETF2L team here:
http://beta.fantasytf2.com/PlayerTeam/Create?seasonid=6&name=&weekid=6

I’ve opened these up a couple of days before they will start counting points to maximise people’s chances of creating their teams in time and avoid being caught out by early games.

The previous weeks (ESEA week 6 and ETF2L week 4) are still technically open to make a team, but they only have one day to run and there won’t be any games so ignore them.

Gentleman Jon

Winners time!

ESEA Season 19 Week 6
shawns’s team Second Chance in 1st
hg’s team asdf in 2nd
Dubbs’s team Mørk chokolade in 3rd

ETF2L Season 21 Week 4

Prizes should now all be distributed, thanks again to Wiethoofd. The Danger Dogs vs Wonderland from tonight has been added

Gentleman Jon

There have been a few updates, I’ve added basic profile pages that should make managing all your teams a bit easier as the homepage is becoming horrifically cluttered, and should showcase your collection of pixel trophies. This can be reached through a profile link in the header, as well as other player’s profiles being viewable through owner links on team pages.

As part of the header update which tidies things up a bit, there’s also a revolutionary new feature

A logout button

I know, ground breaking stuff.

Gentleman Jon

Fenneks new arrivals CondoM and dAGNER have been added to ETF2L for your selection pleasure.

Thanks, GJ. Always wanted to put someone named “Condom” on my Fantasy team.

The economy has been updated

ESEA

http://beta.fantasytf2.com/player/pricechanges/5

This week showstopper has been the fantasy investor’s favourite, his price increasing by $1500 as players interested in those Street Hoops points snaffle him up. Other big climbers include Rando, b4nny and Duwatna. Given this week’s result on Sunshine the former may have yet to reach his peak but at $33,000 is b4nny (and now Duwatna at $27,000) now becoming dangerously overpriced given froyotech’s shaky form?

Other players ascending the market (geddit?!) are Decimate and Bdonski, making less impressive but consistent advances. Ringo continues to be a popular pickup, and Purple Shirt the cafe monster roamer is now finding favour.

On the other side of the coin the froyo soldiers still aren’t catching the eye, their value depreciating faster than Lansky who some players who are still actively trading are inexplicably holding onto. He’s gone people! TheFragile and ninjanick are also yet to find many believers.

ETF2L

In Europe Tek and atomic continue to appreciate rapidly, both putting on the maximum $2000 rise in price. Will either of them hit their market peak before the end of the season? I’m not sure we have enough time. Dikker and Death are the other 4-25 players netting an increase, the underpriced squad presenting excellent returns, up to now anyway.

Some of that 4-25 money may find it’s way to Danger Dogs however after their upset win over Reason, currently only scrab and kr4tos are appreciating in value from that team.

Bizzarely DamnEasy has a price rise despite being cut.

Among those dropping in value it seems that despite a shock return quad believers have finally given up on getting any points out of the prodigal son. The rumour that Reason trio zoob, wltrs and skeej have been cut may have had something to do with their price drops, but Kaidus lost the most value of all of them so perhaps not. Josh and kingofsquirrels are the first players to drop under the $10,000 barrier, with kos setting the current low.

The market has more faith in Zebbosai’s announcement that he’s sticking to roamer that tftv’s casters, but not much as he only sheds a modest loss. Ryb also loses andother $500. Surely the demo on the best team in prem with the highest points per game must now be a bargain?

edit: failfish on who shadowburn plays for.
