Hello everyone and welcome to Vanil– the Team Stinson recruitment page!

The Mentor Team is back LIVE! After some hickups over the past 2 weeks I've found the time to mentor a team once again of which the base is already set by some members of the UKCS pub community. The general skill level so far is very low, therefore I'm looking for either new players or players with little experience and the will to improve to finish up the roster. I was supposed to be playing as medic before, but I don't actually have the time to make that happen. Therefore, we need a Medic (possibly), a Demoman and a Soldier to finish up the roster.
For people who don't know – I've done this before with a team who managed to play themselves from Division 4 to top Division 2 within 365 days. Players in that team included the known Taimou and Pena, and the slightly lesser known Dusty and sparkLe. In that team I played myself, but in this team, due to my comittments to real life and VanillaTV, I will not be able to make that. I will, however, mentor you guys pretty much fulltime, and arrange the matches etc as a clan leader.
What I'm looking for:
– Players who are either new or have never been able to reach higher than div 5.
– Players who are willing to improve more than anything.#
– Players who can play Sunday through Thursday from 20.00 – 22.30 CEST (19.00 – 21.30 BST).
– Players who are open to criticism and able to take a hit here and there when stuff hits the fan.
– Players who have good to great English skills. This team is based around communication more than skill, therefore your English needs to be top notch.
– Players who won't leave after 1 loss. There's loads of new players in this team, losing in the first weeks is normal.
– Players who would like to play in a team full of fun and nice people, even though the game atmosphere might be serious.
Now, what I can offer:
– A team that will be mentored by myself. I have done this before and will commit to the project.
– A team with a friendly atmosphere who also plays other games and plays pub outside of game time.
– A team with all the basics sorted. Server will be paid for when we got a full lineup.
– A team that might take a little bit of time to start up, but will improve quicker than any other team in the scene atm.
– A team which I will hope to have in the Top of Division 4 or the bottom end of Division 3 within a year.

I would recommend players who added me for a trial last time to do it again, as I don't have my notepad file here, but will do next week.

Hello, I would like to trial for the demoman spot if its still free :)
ThePledge, this sounds amazing… i was in a team which fell apart so quickly, to be mentored sounds excellent especially if you have mentored the likes of Taimou! I main a soldier and dont have too much experience in competitive play, i would like to trial. I am at work till 4 (GMT) as im based in london.
All the criteria you want is the same as i am looking for.

Hi, im Mushy.
I would like to trial as a soldier, I am pretty new to the scene but i’ve been playing div 5 mixes and got help from div 4 friends. I know all maps except for turbine and process. I am willing to improve at tf2 because I really like the scene. My steam name is “Mushy”.
Hey, if you’re still looking for a medic, I would really like to apply. I’m quite new to the competitive scene, but I have been playing TF2 on and off pretty much from the release. I have played some lobbies and mixes, but I don’t really enjoy playing with random folks. So I’m looking for a team with cool people and a friendly atmosphere, in which I can practice and work on my skills. More than anything I want to improve and properly get into the competitive TF2, but if with your help the team could have a shot at higher divisions I’m all for it and I can really dedicate to the project.
I’m 21, I go to a university and I also work part time, but I think I can manage to get a couple of hours a day to practice. Mostly evenings between 7-10pm CET (GMT+1). English is not my first language, but if you can get over my Slovak accent, I think it won’t be a problem.

Soldier trials are over, Demoman trials are still ongoing though. Have some trialists ready, so you might need to wait either a long while or you won’t even get a chance depending on how good you are. Sorry, had loads of people asking and need to make a cut somewhere.
