Recruitment
static pandemonium

so after 5 years of playing vidya jamez competitively i've finally decided to make a team for once instead of joining teams and seeing where they go until they eventually die or i quit/get kicked due to boredness/inactivity. anyway fuck the backstory, down to business:
i'm looking for a soldier. i plan for the team to play div6(maybe 5 depending on how potential playerz gel together) in its first season, but i'm not entirely looking for total newbies here to comp tf2 here, i'd expect any potential player to know their class role and play to it. i'm not too fussed about DM as i am probably the worst DMer eu, but i'm not prepared to play with soldiers who don't know rollout or medics who don't know heal order and shit like that. i'd rather play a match and get totally out-DMed than play a match where a medic who's rushed spire with 4 down and isn't healing his pocket who barely escaped the fail-push with 15 hp. i think you get the point.
also i plan to maincall unless whoever becomes medic is my clear superior in gamesense so ja.
what i have to offer:
dedication for a start. i've invested in a server and plan to dedicate all my free time to tf2 in the evenings where i'm not studying(this following week is an exception as i'm visiting family tho).
the server too. copped it like 20 minutes ago from eoreality so if you like that sort of thing then good.
a 'different'(i use this term loosely) perspective on how to practise comp tf2 in general. the game i played prior to tf2 was a small little 2d shooter called soldat, and its comp scene didn't have divisions whatsoever. when we searched for fcws we didn't specify skill levels so you could play the best teams in the world if they clicked your nick on irc. in its main league, it had a freeplay format so you basically got to play as many and whatever teams you liked, and you'd sometimes get raped by the best. there was no whining about how they're not in the same skill level, you played, either won or lost and shut the fuck up. i personally think this open manner of comp gaming is the best way so i'll sometimes search for games higher than our skill level just so we can get raped by teams far superior to us because this gripping fear that teams i've seen have at player teams better than them is a bit fucking stupid imo.
anyway, bar the rant on how divisional comp gaming is alien to me, i also plan to enter us in any cups that are convenient for us to play. like above, i believe that playing better teams until you become less shit is the way to get better at a game. playing people who are as shit as you teaches you nothing.
i'm not too sure about specific playtimes atm as that'll depend on YOU, POTENTIAL TRIALIST but i'm aiming for 3/4 days a week, 2 games each day at least.
as for backups, i suppose we might need a couple but unless you specifically want to backup then i'm not really considering it until a full team comes together.
o ya im playin demo, if that wasn't obvious enough. then again, skimreading post makes me wonder how the hell i got a B in english lit at a-level

I’ll play :D I can do scout or soldier, and I’ll play 2 or 3 games Friday Saturday and Sunday :) add me: dragisman
And we’ll chat
I’d like to join your team, I added you already on steam, I play scout div6/5
I love soldat. Never played competitive, but yet such an awesome simple game.
Advice: dont play higher divs than you are all the time. Your players will get all moody and leave!
to anyone who’s added me and not had a response, i’m not ignoring you; i don’t have access to steam or tf2 atm as i’m away from home visiting family. i return on saturday and will probably start matches asap.
also frix, that awesome simplicity took 5 years of my life from me. <3
though i know it would be frustrating to lose all the time, but i occasionally plan to play higher level games(maybe like once/twice a week or when everybody has spare time) just so i can record stv and go through why we lost(bar being outDMed).
Ah I thought you were ignoring, Farah, haha. Hope you have a nice time with your family :)
I’d like to trial with you guys for the medic slot. Add me on steam please.
I’d very much like to try out for the Medic slot. My computer is in no state for gaming at the moment (the cooling needs to be fixed) and I’ll have some Uni exams throughout May but I can definitely make a commitment to playing.
I’d like to play Scout, and if it helps I know “The_Willy” already, and i have competitive experience in the past, and I have decent gamesense etc.
i’d like to trail for soldier, though i’m a better demo.
i’ll add you on steam

i’ll add you on steam :)
bump, still looking for a solly
What type of soldier is this recruitment looking for? roam/pocket?=D
I’d love to apply. I don’t have much team-wise experience, but I have been featured on refusion vol 3 and “Move It” by lucky luke. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E1rxWLEL8mU at 2:00)
I have been looking to join a team for a while now, and many people have said that I would fit in div 5 perfectly, but as I’ve never played in a team, I’d be fine with div6 too :D. I have a microphone, I’m a fast learner, I’m motivated and I’d love to play with some nice people. :)
I can both pocket and roam, if that matters.
Hit me up if you guys are interested (steam: Levito17) and we’ll see how it goes.
I’d love to hear from you,
Mr. iLevi
