Dates for Open/Mid/High
- Friday 19CET: Round Robin 1
- Friday 21CET: Round Robin 2
- Saturday 19CET: Round Robin 3
- Saturday 21CET: Single Elimination quarter-finals
- Sunday 19CET: Single Elimination semi-finals
- Sunday 21CET: Single Elimination grand-finals.
Meanwhile, premiership will be doing a double elimination tournament. Sadly, we had to cut it down to a 4-team cup because of the number of signups. The dates are:
- Saturday 19CET: Double Elimination Winners Bracket Round 1
- Saturday 21CET: Double Elimination Winners Bracket Round 2 / Losers Bracket Round 1
- Sunday 19CET: Losers Bracket Finals
- Sundays 21CET: Grand Finals
We have to be quite strict with results in order to keep the tournament running. Ties will be decided by coin flip, there won’t be any tiebreaker rounds.
The maps to be played in Round Robin are, in the following order:
- cp_reckoner_b2
- cp_metalworks_rc7
Single and double elimination will be playing these two maps as well. If a tiebreaker is needed, the third map will be cp_snakewater_u6.
The whitelist is available here, make sure your server is running it!
(type “rcon tftrue_whitelist_id 5706” into console after “rcon exec etf2l_6v6_5cp”)
Reminder: you may have one merc as default in each match of the cup, provided he has no experience in a tier higher than the one you’re playing in. For example, if you’re in the Open tier, in each round robin match (not map!), your default merc can only be a player who hasn’t played more than three matches in Mid/High/Prem.
Now, for the format. We had to work with a variable number of signups, so it might take some time to get your head around the progression rules. Here is how it works:
Open:
- 8 groups of 6 teams
- the winner of each group goes on to play in the single elimination tournament
- ties will be settled by head-to-head, or tiebreaker scores if necessary (as in season 23)
Mid:
- 8 groups of 4 teams
- the winner of each group goes on to play in the single elimination tournament
- ties will be settled by head-to-head, or tiebreaker scores if necessary (as in season 23)
High:
- 3 groups of 4 teams
- the top 2 teams of each group advance into the single elimination tournament
- the 2 teams with the highest round robin scores will advance straight into the semi-finals
Following that, all the above mentioned tiers will be playing a standard 8 team single elimination tournament format.
