Our first ever Highlander experimental cup has concluded with some great matches and feedback. We saw just over 40 teams fight it out in 3 skill brackets playing on pl_barnblitz, cp_foundry, ctf_turbine_pro_rc1 and cp_upland (created by 
Mark). 
SNSD came from a map down to take the final of the highest bracket 2-1 and win 9 copies of DOTA 2 courtesy of gamersunited.net.au (big thanks again to them for sponsoring the competition). Full round-up of results below:

Schedule your matches!
For some teams it has come as a surprise – as every season. If a match is not scheduled by Friday before the week start (which is on Sunday) admins will decide a default date. Save yourself and the admin staff some time and trouble and schedule the matches yourselves! Of course, you may still reschedule matches with a default date if both teams agree – but take care not to play later than the match deadline, which is Saturday. It is, however, still possible to play after the match deadline if both teams agree, of course, and you request an extension of the deadline at an admin on IRC. If you play after the match deadline and have not gotten an extension granted, both teams will get a minor warning.
The minor warnings for unplayed matches can be removed by an admin if the match has been played and a player of either team contacts an admin on IRC:
Remember that you are not allowed to use wildcards in week 7 (March 11 – March 17) and all matches have to be played until March 17 or will be nullified! To get an overview of the general ETF2L schedule, please use our calendar.
Team Fortress 2 on TV!
Team Fortress 2 and the ETF2L have been featured in the French television in a programme called “Skill”. The screening features the Grand Final of Season 10! between Infused eSports and Epsilon eSports, commentated by 
Pognon and 
Luzzu. The VOD should still be online for free for about two weeks, if you know French you should definitely check it out!
Season 11 Playoffs
Playoffs will be held between March 18th and March 31st. Write it down, cancel all other engagements, consider yourselves notified.
Premier Division Playoffs
- 4th vs 3rd: March 18th – March 24th
- Winner vs 2nd: March 25th – March 31st or sooner
- Winner vs 1st: April 1st – April 7th or sooner
VAC ban policy
Please be reminded of General Rule 6.5:
As of March 15, 2012, any player with a VAC ban on the Source engine will be banned for 1 year. Players with VAC bans that do not apply to Team Fortress 2 will not be affected. Players receiving VAC bans before March 15, 2012 will not be affected.
Ban
Sadly, we have to announce a ban again. Someone deemed it necessary to voice threats of physical violence during an official match accompanied with heavy insults. The player will be banned from all ETF2L competitions until the end of the Season 11 playoffs.

Half the story isn’t even published, wasn’t serious lan threats and they were not unprovoked.
Admins have my respect so i’m just going to let them deal with it, i acted like a cunt but the full story hasn’t been brought to light so don’t make assumptions purely from that.
Wow, i didn’t ecpect IV to get banned, you did act really innapropriatly and even RQ the game at one point because your team told you to stop, and we submitted the ENTIRE chat log and this is what the admins decided, it was a bit harsh on the team tbh as they might have to drop but what you say in CSS you can’t get away with here.

Why one of your players is pushing for a default i don’t know, I offered to apologise to your guys end game, which Swift was going to take me up on. I hope it’s repealed/reduced because the threat part is absolute rubbish, the minor penalty points are understandable but both? It was said in jest and i stated this before and following the text, however i see that it was uncalled for.
I didn’t expect you to get a ban IV, I just gave shdwpuppet the whole chatlog to submit to the admins.
srlsy a ban for a whole season? sooooo what you clever etf2l have actually done is now against the benefit of anyone: 1) We lose a player over something that may have been punished with some warning(s) . 2) you have taken away our core scout which only means that we have to now use our backup allrounder crab which brings me to my third point 3) any other team now playing us basically has reduced their chances because we are forced to use someone who in this div may prove to carry a bit.
I understand that for a matter of fact, IV was being rude, impolite and was “offering physical threats” that should not be tolerated in any way but a ban… seriously? I don’t exactly see how that works because surly you have to be able to prove why, on what basis, and how did you come to this decision, and surely at least IV deserves to know how you came to such conclusions.
I just want to know exactly on what evidence this ban was cooked up on… if he actually deserved it, faiiiir enough then team definitive needs a new scout for the season xDDDDDDDD

checked the logs and I can only find one line that the ban could be based on, well ok, two, but for the second one he even admitted its a bait……. its just not the full story ;//// sorry swift anyway for the baits in game .
