even though I gotta admit I didn’t exactly enjoy the match because of kun’s “tactics” (not just camping, he of course didn’t camp all the time, but he usually kept his distance, preferring long-range pistol shootouts over closeup scattergun fights, often running away when I reached closer distances etc.), it gets really boring after a while when every other round takes ~2 mins.. and there were 55 rounds ^^ arena_well was an exception since it’s a smaller map than the other two
I definitely appreciate rather direct approach resulting in a single scattergun duel, every round ending in 20 seconds.. which was skinnie’s and garf’s case (that has nothing to do with the outcomes of those matches, I’m just saying I enjoyed playing those)
..even though that, I rather wished kun best of luck for the rest of the cup and that he would rape the rest of the opposition so I could say I lost to the cup winner :))

but to be honest you should be thankful you didn’t make it this far, you wouldn’t enjoy the match either as your playing style is quite similar to mine

He didn’t camp, he just didn’t run against me like a mad bull, i enjoyed the game i had against him at least :p

dunno if it’s necessary for me to explain anything… analogy with cs is pretty pointless, it’s much more like quake map controlling – listening for sounds, exploring opponent routes and exploiting his weaknesses during engagement. aim over 9000 isn’t always guarantee a victory, however a combination of both is deadly :)

I did that a few times and if I remember correctly I won most of them, however usually when the round lasted long enough for the cp to unlock, I was running around the map searching for him, I didn’t know where he was and so didn’t he.. I didn’t want to give him an advantage by letting him know I’m on the cp.. since one shot can really make a fatal difference, as obvious from the last rounds of ravine and badlands :/
also, kun said he thinks that my aim is better than his at close range, he didn’t say “I’m useless at close range”, I mean forcing him into close combat doesn’t give me a free win or something ^^
