hi there, pls add me in steam for scheduling.
we can play wednesday 28th 20.30 cet for example. weekend is bad.

As one team sated they can’t play during the normal time for default dates you will be given a short period to schedule this match. Please make a proposal.

  3. NuckChorris: TIDS - TSGHUH said:

Ok, I´ve sent a proposal for Thursday 29th, 20.30 CET.
Thats the best date for us, though it´s kinda short notice. If that´s not possible, we can only play with a merc on Sunday….

  4. NuckChorris: TIDS - TSGHUH said:

I added the (only) leader from Kore days ago, by the way, he hasnt reacted or even been online for 6 days now…. so might not get a quick response from their side.

  5. Thrawn: (Site Admin) - TIDS - TSGHUH said:

so? we tried contacting you about this match several times – no chance. anybody from kore is reading this? if so: please answer here quickly, even if you are not a team leader.
we are expecting you to show up this evening. if not: give us a default win, let us play with one or two mercs on sunday or draw a wildcard and make a proposal for the following week. but pls – do something.
this afs stuff is getting annoying – we seem to be the only team in our division trying to play their matches. thrawn is sad.

  6. NuckChorris: TIDS - TSGHUH said:

Okay, so obviously we won´t get a default date for today 20.30 cet, as that is only 3 hours away, right? The only date left for us now to play this match is sunday evening, but we need to play with a merc cause half my team is gone over the weekend.

I agree with Thrawn, it´s really getting annoying to be seemingly the only team in our division that cares about scheduling matches, playing them or even taking the time to post something on matchpages.Or to reply to the admins posts.
We already got a minor warning for not playing a match after the deadline (http://etf2l.org/matches/18908/) simply because the opponents are not able to state the fact that they dropped on the matchpage or somewhere else. This is so absurd, and it makes me not only sad, but a lil angry as well – I spent hours trying to find match dates for my entire team, schedule them and get in touch with the opponents, and now even the admins are not able to react anymore.

    bump. i’ve had enough.
    claiming a default win now.
    gg thx bye

  8. NuckChorris: TIDS - TSGHUH said:

no reaction, from nobody. no default date. so no match today I guess.
I´m not gonna comment this or complain any further, but I feel that we seriously can´t be blamed for this, as the opponent NEVER reacted in ANY way and we were not even given the chance to put 6 people on a server where the opponents never show up and make the obligatory status screenshot.

  9. NuckChorris: TIDS - TSGHUH said:

    last try from our side:

    – is there anyone from Kore willing to get in touch with us, or at least able to post here if you dropped or if you still plan to play this match?

    – is there an admin able to see that we really tried to contact them and schedule this, and can we claim a defwin or at least get a default date to claim a defwin if they dont show up then as well?

would be nice to get any reaction. from anybody.

    Okay, I´ve had enough.
I just sent a proposal now for Sunday 15th, 20:30 cet.

You can either reply here, just accept the proposal or keep ignoring everything like you did before – I´m not gonna try anything any further, and I´m not gonna wait for an admin to care or even do something about this ridiculous behaviour – we´re simply gonna be on our server on sunday evening. Either you´re there, or you´re not, then we´ll make a status screen and claim a default win.

Because this match has not been scheduled by either of the teams, a default date has been set for this match.
The default date is: Sunday, 01 August 2010, 20:30
Please play this match on the appointed time and submit the results.

    @ Admin
Okay, either this is a joke, a mistake, or just I don´t seem to get it.
We´re given a default date which is 10 days ago.

    Does this mean:
    – it´s a typo and you meant next sunday (which would be the 15th, not the 1st of August) ?
    – does it mean we should just submit a 6-0 for us and concider this match as “already played, opponents not showing up”?
    Please clarify this.

Btw, the opposite leader still did not react or accepted my friend request on steam; it says “last online 19 days ago”… And as you can see, nobody ever cared about posting something here, either a simply reply, a proposal or maybe even a “we dropped from etf2l”. They never accepted any proposals I sent them as well, my last one was for Sunday 15th, 20.30 cet and is still pending a reply.
So my main question is – do we really still have to get a default date, be on a server and probably spend half an hour waiting for an opponent that´s never gonna show up? Just to make a screenshot with our 6 people on it to claim a default win, and some days later somebody realizes the opponents actually really dropped and the “results” go straight to the trash can anyway? Really?
This is such a waste of time imo, it has been, and it will be.

Nevertheless, please help me understand and please correct the default date or tell me what else to do.

  14. Thrawn: (Site Admin) - TIDS - TSGHUH said:

oh, it means the default date sometimes will be set automatically. i guess a script is checking every match if its overdue and then assigns a default date – thats why the user who posted this is the “default date” user, not an admin itself. also, take a look at the time. such scripts often run at 0pm.
or in other words: never ever read what we wrote, it was just a bot who gave us the default date. thats why i laughed so heartly – the bot message reflects the state of the afs very well.

    not “never”… *no one ever

trying to talk to an admin via steam / irc now. If somebody sees this before, pls reschedule / edit the date and change it to sunday 15th, 20.30 cet, as we have a proposal pending at 19 cet for the other match left in the AFS. and it´s likely to be accepted… so we can play both games on one day.
