Hello mate.You there?
June 18th, 2009 at 9:24 pm
We were expecting to play on yours. We’ve been trying to get your password for the past 20 minutes, and I added you to my list at 9pm.

Well from what I’ve heard NE are going to speak to the admins about this one.
It’s all a bit silly really. If neither clan give the info then it’s hardly either one’s fault that the deadline is missed by minutes.
BLITZ are more than happy to play tonight or rearrange for another date.

Needles to say we dispute this. I’m trying to get in touch with the admins on IRC at the moment.

You have 1 week to play this.

well, we tried to get in touch with BLITZ to get their server details well before the 12 mins before the match was due to start and Henchie posted the question about requesting server details as we had heard nothing from them. Steam checks show (and we have screen shots etc for times) that certain members of BLITZ were not in game, granted they may of been online but as they have no IRC channel it makes it hard to contact. (IRC imho is a MUST for league teams)
I am NOT happy with this being re-arranged being as we followed the league rules for requirements for match times. We have always been more than lenient in matches with other clans where they have a few people join then apologise that others cant make it for a while, that’s not a problem. But when we get no contact from anyone till past the 15 mins then i think it’s more than acceptable for us to have the default win.

“If neither clan give the info then it’s hardly either one’s fault that the deadline is missed by minutes”
o/ I was on comms with the NE folk as their voice comms is hosted on my server. Not a single leader or deputy was online on steam to sort out your server details. You don’t have an IRC channel (or it’s not listed anywhere). Your listed server isn’t, and wasn’t, online. An NE member first managed to contact one of you at 21:16 CEST. It’s meant to be 15 minutes after for the MATCH to start, not for someone to think about maybe telling the other team what the server details are.
The NE team leader was considering settling for a reschedule instead of a default, but then the person he was speaking to developed an attitude and started trying to blame him for their total fail, and trying to claim the match was meant to be played on the NE servers. Traditionally, the match is played on the server of the first named team.
If a team’s number 6 is taking a few extra minutes to start up TF2, that’s one thing. For noone on a team to be contactable for 15 minutes after the match is supposed to start is quite another.

i was also on comms at the time of this, and they were on the server, and henchie was trying to contact someone,
here is proof they were trying to contact as well

they were offline at this time, and i belive (dont take my word for this) that they are the leaders/deputies, as you can see they are all offline.

I have already posted our take on this whole situation and I will not repeat it. However it is all quite besides the point. All of these things are irrelevant – we were online and trying to play against you guys, and all of our attempts (that’s both of us, again) to make contact failed.
We wanted to play tonight, and we want to play this match in the next week. If you do not want to play a match against us, which your attitude certainly suggests, I’m more than happy to accept a default win in our favour.
Name the time and the place and we’ll do the match.
And FYI, our server is at: 89.238.160.28:27031
Password, if applicable is: match or etf2lmatch (again all besides the point, I’m now in touch with henchie)
Please let me know your server password, just in case.

I apologise if “sorry about the communications mixup, we’re all ready, let’s play” can be construed as being overly aggressive.
saying the offliners were offline is one thing, but when i contact you guys at 10 past to ask for a password, it only seems reasonable to give the password and get on with the play, rather than going all out in DRAMA MODE.
it’s a bloody game.
