Our final game of the season, against the number 3 team of the group. Going into it, we were quite confident after our win against the number 2 team of the group, but we approached the practice for the game with a lot of care. After our horrendous season start due to lineup troubles and player quits, we were still getting into the rhythm of playing together as a team. The last week was the first time we practiced with this lineup, so we didn’t know what to expect in the official.
Granary was close and tense, with us getting the first cap relatively quickly, then Gla challenging us with a quick win next round. After that, we battled it out with a lot of back and forth by both teams, and spirits were low when the score was 3-2 to us with Gla pushing our last. With some great pipework from Rob and awesome ‘air-healing’ from hez, we pushed them back, and with this momentum, we closed the game at 5-2 in the end.
Turbine started out quite quickly with the first three caps going to snuke. Gla managed a cap, but we managed to control any of their pushes with with great defensive play in the middle. Match ended 8-1 to snuke.
With this being the end of the season, and us managing to pull back some good results at the end, snuke would be officially changing their name to Cohesion. Good luck to all the teams in the group, and hopefully we’ll ge to battle you all in the future :)
