Welcome to the landing page for ETF2L’s 4th season of Highlander! The Highlander league is a recurring appearance after the success of the ETF2L Highlander Community Challenge with over 800 participating teams in 2010. The current season is supported by the wonderful BlackOut Gaming community! Please swing by on one of their servers next time you are looking for a fun public gaming session.

Signups will open Monday 25th February and close Friday 8th March at 23:59 CEST.

Format

Every team is placed into a Division that matches their skill level, with 6 teams per Division. The lowest ranked division is Division 6, and the highest is Premiership. Teams from one Division will meet each other once. There will be 5 regular season matches, with playoffs for the top 3 of the Premiership Division and potential tiebreakers for other divisions.

Prizes

The Season 4 Premiership teams play for their share of the total cash prize of €1,000, generously provided by BlackOut Gaming. The distribution is as follows:

  •  Premiership winner: €500
  •  Premiership runner-up: €350
  •  Premiership third place: €150

Medals

As in previous seasons and thanks to Valve Software and Ruskeydoo, players in all divisions will receive in-game medals for winning the group, as well as participation medals for finishing the season. The Premiership Division will have gold, silver and bronze medals for the first three places.

Schedule

The regular season has 5 match weeks, followed up by two weeks of title playoffs in Premiership or two weeks of potential tiebreakers for other divisions. The Secondary Playoffs will take 3 weeks. Here’s the full schedule:

  • Division Seeding: March 6 – March 9
  • Schedule Week: March 10 – March 16
  • Main Season: March 17 – April 20 (5 weeks)
  • Catch-up Week: April 21 – April 27
  • Premiership playoffs and tiebreakers: April 28 – May 12

Unlockable weapons

ETF2L Season 4 banlist will be similar to that of UGC Season 9, in order to improve experience for players involved in both leagues. The differences between the two Leagues’ banlists are highlighted in bold.
