Description

The Regular ETF2L Season is our main competition. This Season competition is the biggest Team Fortress 2 competition worldwide. Starting with Season 1 and 52 teams in December 2007, the Season grew with 120 teams in Season 2 which started in April 2008. The 3rd Season topped this size again with 190 teams signing up for it in August 2008. Season 4 topped this once again with 250 teams by the start of 2009. Our 5th Season was announced May 2009 with a team limit of 250 to guarantee a smooth run; over 300 teams signed up in between a few days. Season 6 which started September 2009 had a team limit of 330 teams which were filled within 1 day. Season 7 will start this February with 350 teams participating.

System

Every participating team will get divided into a Division of their skill level. In the 1st Season we started with 8 teams in every Division, but due to the amount of teams we decided on sizing these up to 10 teams per Division. Every team of one Division will meet each other once during the Season and play a Two-Map-Game. A team will get 3 points for every won map, 1 point for a drawn map, 0 points for a lost map.

After the regular nine Game Weeks, our Promotion and Relegation System is taking place. Teams have the possibility to get promoted or relegated to another Division level in the next Season.
