For me, reliance came with experience. I had the same problems as you when i was active, sometimes i was on fire and sometimes, not so much.

Think longterm. You might not see difference in your play from day to day, or week to week, but when I kept playing a lot, I got a feeling every few month like \"Hey, I\'ve performed pretty good the last 3-4 matches, none of the usual dropouts!\".

Its without doubt the most boring advice, but i really believe reliability and confidence comes with alot of practice - and obviously it helps if most of that practice is with a team around same skill level as yourself :).

Looks very promising, great work.

Regarding voice, you might want to look at Mumble when everything else is running. Afaik it supports a lot of external control, so tf2lobby could possibly do everything (like checking for mumble running, connecting and putting ppl on 2 seperate rooms) without any action required from the user. I agree its not essential, but its a lot better no doubt.

After an hour of 2man coop and a few more hours of singleplayer:

+++
Takes you right back to the diablo grind of finding that epic fireshotgun (which shoots rockets) and gain 1 more skillpoint - just in fps (or in \"car\")
Lots of fun simple quests for xp and/or gear (think mmo)
Coop online works almost flawlessly (use gamespy with friendlists, simple and easy, dunno bout steam friends), random dropping in and out of games, taking
quests together, sharing xp etc.
Runs accetable on my old laptop with everything on low (c2d 2.0, 8600M GT)
Always duel option if someone bitchtalk too much
---
Ingame voice sucks, no push-to-talk, voice either on (mic always active) or disabled, and no chat history = vent/mumble needed for fun co-op.
The grind gameplay IS repetitive, no huge storyline or great voiced quests, mostly chat and kill x get y.
Controls is abit awaked at times, like you have to use keyboard to scroll certain places, and car control is by mouse, havent found a place to change that without messing up foot controls.

In short; I was hyped, and it mostly lives up to it so far. Theres lots of rooms for improvement (and expansions) but Gearbox has promised to follow this game up as much as possible. I see your point, but if you take into account the amount of cs1.6 cheaters and the amount of tf2 cheaters, its not really comparable. And for the \"humans make mistakes\" view, I kind of want them to make their next mistake in some other game tbh.

I dont think any of us know exactly how many cheaters each community have, and i dont see it really changes anything.

I\'ve seen talented players in both TF2 and CS16 who started cheating just to push it that extra mile, even thought they didnt really need it. The statement \"cheaters are cheaters are cheaters who are forever evil\" is stupid and has been proved wrong over and over again.

The only way to really get respect back, if you are a caught cheater, is LAN results in my book, and that shouldnt be hard if your a dedicated player.
