Nothing to do with me there skippy. There are 3 Head Admins in the league, and the rule has been here before all three of us joined the Admin team. The league has always operated a no evidence policy. The people who actually understand the concept and realise why giving people who have zero experience in spotting a cheat, a demo is one of the most retarded things we could actually do in this league (bar playing engineer only for the rest of the season), have already actually posted and made this clear in the thread.

I have no need to comment further on the matter. I trust our Anti-Cheat team, if you don\'t trust them - don\'t play.
Well you made your point clear and it just re-affirms that the direction your taking the league in, isnt something i want to perticipate in... skippy.

That\'s been explained multiple times. It prevents the hackers from finding out what they did wrong and what to avoid next time.
ehm? allright.. lets make it case specifik, regarding this perticular case your talking about not allowing the public to see a demo, so they wont figure out how not to get caught using an aimbot.. something thats virtualy impossible to hide?

For the arguement of a wallhacker or whatever is out there, i can kinda see your point but its still in my opinon the lesser of two evils, your prioritizing the ease of work of the AC team above trust of the user base, something of witch other sport organizations like the NBA have found to be the wrong idea.. it might not be something you can compare but the issue of referrre trust has haunted that perticualr sport for ages, so they go the added mile to explain why and how they com to the conclusions they come to.. to build trust.

What im looking for, is not one thing.. im just looking for something. I see this an issue where D2M and his squad can do something to earn valuable trust in the eyes of the public and its a shame in my eyes he chooses to do nothing

And yes the horrible english is absolutly free. :)

As a danish player this subject has been debated though steam friends and what not, but the fact is i dont know quad very well, nor do i honnestly care if he has cheated or not, not even one freaking bit.

What i do find interresting in all of this is that D2M isnt willing to go the added mile, to earn the trust of the user base on etf2l, its been debated before like many people have said but what i dont understand is the \"why\".. why is it that you have the \"no evidence\" policy? what does that accomplish for etf2l other than breed mistrust?

While i havnt read all of the posts regarding everyones opinon about the \"current\" state of the game with the new unlocks, maps and such i thought i would like to share my opinon regarding the matter.

I dont think the new weapon unlocks provide anything positive to the game as a whole and this isnt about fearing change or not willing to try different ways of playing.

I\'ve been playing games regularly against most of the new unlocks and i just dont feel the game is better because of it, i think it takes away key points of the game that made it enjoyable for me and as such i was overjoyed seeing most of the div1 players rejecting the idea\' of playing with them.

And the idea behind alienating the public part of the community by rejecting parts of the game is really not something that should hold any weight regarding this sitiuation, look at what CoD4 did, they banned about 75% of the game, made a ProMod for their game and it still was very successfull.

I just hope that etf2l will rethink their position and revert it to the old rules with the option of allowing the new unlocks if both teams agree instead instead of the other way around.

I\'ve been looking at every unlock there is, and every single one of them if allowed will have a significant impact on competative tf2 both good and most certainly bad.

TDH is from my perspective heaven on earth, its like in 18 again playing QuakeWorld for the first time but within capable hands will shift the way the game is played. Its most likely to overpowered with the minicrits at the moment.

Banner will have an impact on last points such as granary simpely because of the fall off dmg being non exsistent, it might actualy be a wellcomed change but in my opinon it will be something that unballances the game from both a defensive and offensive standpoint.

Pickaxe is tougher to say as i\'ve had little to no experiece in pugs with it yet... most likely to OP as the rest of the Unlocks.

Boots are fine and a wellcomed change to offensive minded sollys.

The Demo Unlocks while being fun dosnt bring that much to the table execpt for the new sticky launcher, for defending last points and certain other points its most likely overpowered in its current form, reason being you can detonate stickys though the walls if you just know where about the stickys are placed.

One good example of this would be last point on Badlands, where you could have 4 sets of leathal stickys on the point and have your demoman sit in spawn looking though the windows and detonating them selectively making it allmost impossible to cap the point.

I would love to see some exibition games between a few higher up squads with focus on the new weapons, most of all to spark some debate about the weapons before the seaons starts so we dont end up with another weapon debate mid season.

Had a fair season but as with allmost everything within competition there\'s allways room to improve.

We had a shaky first game, where nerves and rust had to be settled but we still managed to win.

We had some bumps along the road, one in perticular against Logix where nerves allmost cost us one of our stronger maps, in the end we did pull though and got the much needed win.

Granary proved to be our bane this season, its our weakest map and it showed against both TFPortal and RedStars, the TFPortal game on granary we had no buissness drawing as TFPortal was the better team on that map but having played our strongest first they were down and out until we decided to mix things up in the 4th round, running some crazy stuff in mid after 8 straight rounds on 2 maps.. it gave them some room to breathe and they got thier confidence back they lost on Badlands, seemed to me they droped the ball up 4-3 and let us get the draw but as us i think TFPortal is a young team aswell with room to learn yet.

Second draw of the season happend in the last game against RedStars after we had secured first place in our Div on the first map, we did loosen up abit and that showed as many mistakes started happening, looking back its a map we should have won but the lack of focus cost us.

Over all, we learned some really good lessons in our Division, we had some pressured sitiuations that we fought our way back from and we learned alot about our selfs as a team going though the season.

In the end, a very good season, looking forward to meeting teams capable of punishing our made mistakes in div3 next year..

And special thanks to CiC, Logix and TFPortal and last but not least SuperFly and eZur for being helpfull with our games (could not have done it without you 2)

Slick, we only schdualed one match to this week but one match was wildcarded and then this match tomorrow.

So its a case of circumstances, its just unfortunet and we have raged out on it and accepted the fact that we have to play it.

But i just hope something change within the system to next year, as i do believe the current system is flawed when a team can report a rejection of a date 1 hour and 14 minutes before the deadline, giving us little to no time to actualy get a hold of everyone and ask what dates they can play.

In anycase, i chose to bring this up as a specifik example.. it might not be the best but i do believe that there is something fundementaly wrong with the current schedueling system.

D2M, we are well aware that most likely nothing will change from our current sitiuation but i chose to post this here in hopes of changing the current system more so than changing our current sitiuation (but i wont lie, that if we had a slimmer of hope of chaning the date from tuesday to something else, we would take that in an instant)

For us this is a hobby, we care alot about the game as i do believe most others do.. but this admin chosen last minute call thing, just isnt an optimal solution as it forces you to keep your calender free all week if the other team cant even be arsed to answer back.

Does it suck for Logix that they cant play on Sunday? It sure does.. but in any other league you would never see a system going in and change a date thats on the match 2 days prior to it being played.

I perfectly understand that the admin staff dosnt want to see default wins for anyone but the current system has to give everyone even more headaches\' than the alternative.

In my opinon the default day has to be set in stone and should not be able to be moved for any reason, have a default match day set in stone from the start of next season and if its impossible to play on that day or find a day during the week, then have the admin\'s look at the case while being in dialoge with both teams.. or just default it to the team on the server, like every other league would.
