Hi,

I am having some problems with my tf2 or steam. It is currently in insecure mode meaning i cant get onto any servers public or match. As you can imagine this is a problem with my TF2 team/Trials as i cant play.

So far i have tried many different suggestions with no success.

I have:

– restarted my steam several times (as it states)
– restarted my computer
– validated my games cache
– placed -secure in launch options
– deleted my clientregistry.blob file (or its called something like that)
– reinstalled the full tf2 game
– Turned of all my firewalls and defenders etc

After all this and still no progress i was hoping you would have a solution?

Cheers SmAsH

-secure didn’t work? did for me

remove the -insecure parameter (and may add -secure. not sure about that.)

btw wich error message do you get ? The “Can’t join VAC Server with -insecure”-Thingy?

“Delete everything in your steam folder except steam.exe and steamapps, then let it redownload everything. From what I read on SPUF that should fix it”

This is a possible solution I found in the forumlink I posted, dont know if it will work though

“- placed -secure in launch options”
You must’ve placed –insecure in launch options before, so just remove it.

Blind guess: Also remove the FoV changer if you have used it but haven’t removed it yet.

If you don’t shoot stuff in Skyrim you’re doing it wrong!

Rightclick on your Steam App > Click on Gamelist > Select and right mouse click on Team Fortress 2 > select properties > go to startup options > check for -insecure setting.

I use the dutch version, so things might have another name then the above.

Football manager is for -insecure people. Should be fine with the -insecure parameter.
