If I remember it correctly, the default crosshair is “no crosshair”.
bind "1" "slot1; exec sniperxhair.cfg"
in your sniper.cfg
cl_crosshairfile ""
in the sniperxhair.cfg
should fix it, I guess.

That wont actually work I think, since cl_crosshair_file “” has a sniper crosshair nowadays. You’ll have to use a crosshair-switcher, and do either cl_crosshair 0 with the default crosshair, or cl_crosshair_scale 0 which works with any crosshair.
