Hi guys Im currently looking for a new mouse with a mousepad. ( never used one )
I’ve never used a mousepad cause i haven’t needed one. And im looking for a mouse and mousepad since my mice legs have all worn off since i don’t use a mousepad. Also my mouse is like 2 years old and i want a change.

Well this far i’ve been recommended :
Logitech G9X – it’s quite expensive but i found it with a really good price
Logitech MX 518 – much more affordable and said to be comfortable
Razer Deathadder – also more affordable and big in case you have a big hand, i have a fairly medium hand.

PS. I claw my mouse. ( In case you don’t know its how you hold your mouse. The claw hold is that you rest only your fingertips and the end of your palm on the mouse )

For clarification here’s a pic http://img175.imageshack.us/i/mousegriphu7.jpg/

Mousepad : Razer Goliathus – The biggest mousepad i know. Also said to be very good

But i want to know what do you guys recommend. Right now im planning on buying the G9X cause it has amazing customizability but i might be wrong. So yeah, what do you recommend?

I use clawgrip with my MX518 and have always found it quite comfortable. It’s mostly just what fits your hand.

Claw grip = diamondback
Palm Grip = Deathadder

Mantis speed mat and you’re sorted ;)

My aim is something in between clawing and palming. Oh well, works for me. I’d suggest Razer Lachesis, seems like a good enough mouse. For mouse mat… maybe the Razer Goliathus Control/Speed. Get the largest size though, it being too small can be a bitch.

And no, I’m not a complete razer fag, if you dislike razer, get logitech g5(00?). Another mouse mat would be.. http://www.clasohlson.fi/Product/Product.aspx?id=135121738 that. Will be probably hard to get outside of Finland what I see, but is the best mouse mat I’ve used so far.

Tbh i have a diamondback 3g atm, and since it’s quite old the rubbre finish on the top as well as the legs are wearing off, and i find it to be a bit unconfortable, the side buttons as well as the drivers are utter crap and they don’t work properly and you can’t really assign the side buttons to do something useful, thats why im looking more on the logitech side.

The G5 seems to be a solid choice, and thanks for the tips.

I can’t believe people are still stupid enough to make “what mouse/pad i should buy” topics.

Everything you could possibly need to know is in these topics, and that’s not even half of them.

And retarded enough to make them in the wrong forum.

Finding a suitable mouse and mouse pad is very much a matter of personal taste.

I have searched for a long time to find the ultimate combination for me.
The mouse that beats everything else in my opinion (especially in terms of ergonomy) is the Mionix Naos 5000.

Finding a ultimate mouse pad has turned out to be much harder (I have around 10 gaming mouse pads. I like to buy and test stuff.), but it seems I finally have found what I was looking for : The Mionix Alioth 400.
It is faster and have better tracking than most other cloth pads. Since it is still a cloth pad it gives a better feeling of control than plastic pads.
And since it is cloth the surface is more consistent and doesn’t change friction the same way a plastic pad does.

fuck no dont buy a mouse before you have at least touched it once in real life.

This.

As a general rule, the best mouse is the one that fits your hand the best.

Anathema

Try to look for it in an electronics store.
