I’m still thinking about something witty to comment on it. Something about free crates (keys to purchase separately) and burning hats to stifle the economy.

Too political/academic, eh? Ah well.

It’s probably because players here don’t take interest in either greece or trading.

I don’t think he was at Valve for more than a couple of months, however he did study the economy of TF2, which is published in a blog post here: http://blogs.valvesoftware.com/economics/arbitrage-and-equilibrium-in-the-team-fortress-2-economy/

Don’t do backseat moderating.

This could be a slogan to get new admins: “Don’t do backseat moderating, join us now!”

He’s not expressing a political opinion, merely stating some facts.

Cheers :)
If I understood it correctly, he never stayed at Valve HQ for long due to his university commitments, but works with Valve until now (or recently, at least).

Here’s a podcast with him talking about Valve’s company structure and the Steam economy. Very interesting to listen to a non-gamer, but economically educated standpoint.

Welcome to Team Drachma 2. After 14 years in development, hopefully it will have been worth the wait
