CHERRY

I’ll be travelling to London in a few weeks and I’m wondering if you have any recommendations for sightseeing/pubs.
I’m generally more interested in architecture than museums, but if it’s something related to history that’ll do too.
At this point I’m aware of stuff like Big Ben, Buckingham and London eye and am looking into less known places.
Also if anyone feels like meeting up hit me on Steam or call +48737302751

Depends what you’re interests are.

Couple of bits to get you started:
http://www.timeout.com/london/things-to-do/101-things-to-do-in-london-attractions-sights
http://www.visitlondon.com/things-to-do/sightseeing

Looking online, although I’m not sure how you plan on getting around, you can get a tourist/”traveller’s”(?) Oyster Card to pre-pay for use of any TfL (Transport for London) services (Underground, buses, etc) – http://www.tfl.gov.uk/travel-information/visiting-london/visitor-oyster-card#on-this-page-1

The pages you’ve linked are way better than the stuff I could find, both Tates’ buildings look amazing and a trip between them in a boat is definetely a thing I’d like to do.

Should go to a pub/music venue where there’s live gigs – if you’re over 18, the 100 Club in Oxford Street is great for that sort of thing

Great idea!

The Shard is pretty cool, and has amazing views over London.

Protip: Use the loos while you’re up there and have the sensation of pissing in a glass box in the sky.

Also download Citymapper if you can use a smartphone while you’re here – it’s 100% the best way to work out how to get around.

Imperial War Museum could be the coolest museum in London. Been there twice and has always been interesting.

Shard is £35 for 30 mins iirc – it’s good, but quite pricey. I’d definitely recommend a boat trip down the Thames as the tour guide gives info but also suggestions on where to go.

The London Dungeon is right next to the Eye, and while it might operate in a family friendly manner, it’s still relatively entertaining, as the rides are adequate, and the actors mostly do a very good job. It’s worth a visit if you’re looking for a mixture of information and entertainment.

I’d also strongly recommend the Natural History and Science museums; even if you aren’t a huge fan of museums, you’ll get your money’s worth visiting.

? All the main museums are free. They really are great, I got the feeling of historic grandeur while strolling in the halls. Especially in the Natural History Museum main hall with the famous Darwin statue.

Shard does seem too expensive for me, but I’ll definetely find some other club/pub.
IWM and Natural History look great too!

Yes it provides a lovely view of your own butthole if you sit down in the evening. First hand experience

Since a lot of the places are covered already, I’ll add this http://www.rmg.co.uk/ (Royal Maritime Museum, Royal Observatory, Cutty Sark – some old ship)

If the weather is great (it’s England, don’t count on it) its pretty great to relax at the huge field and hill right behind it. Great view! Also this was the bit featured in that Thor movie where it gets destroyed by aliens. Fun stuff

Not too far from here is Goddard’s Pie and Mash! http://www.goddardsatgreenwich.co.uk/
You can try some nice traditional pie and jellied eels! (I think the Polish smoked eel is superior but jellied eel is quite the experience)
