I am about to render some footage in 1280×720 and I was wondering should I check the “Stretch video to fill output frame size (do not letterbox)” in the render settings? Also how does this affect the video, does it make the quality worse?

I recorded the footage in 1920×1080

If you’ve recorded your footage with 1280 * 720 and your movie is going to be rendered in 1280 * 720 as well, you don’t need any stretching.

rag!

well letterbox usually has to do with widescreen and adding black bars so i guess since footage is widescreen already it shouldn’t matter.

Then why don’t you render the final video in 1920 * 1080 as well?

Should I just change the resolution to 1920×1080 to everything in vegas then?
