yeah the frags were insane as is per usual for a top q3 vid but edits like this always bug the crap out of me because shit happens so fast the stupid flashy particles and trails and screenflashes and even most of the smooths detract from the whole thing and just add uneccesary visual clutter.
i am not saying its a bad video because my gripes with it are purely personal preference. the guy behind it obviously knows his thing but i don’t think his sort of thing is suited for q3. just give me insane frags and footage set to a cool song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zBc3-1Gbbo4 (i’ve posted this at least once before here but it’s still my favourite quake 3 video ever)
speaking of which, the fucking awful first song didn’t help either, and neither did having frame blending on but everyone does that and it seems like i am the only person in the world that ever complains about it anyway
