Hello,

I’ve the same problem since today.
I’ve tried to opening normal tf2 and closing it after.
No available update on Windows update.
Also, I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled Lawena Recording Tool but the problem is still here.

Has anybody a solution to fix it?

Found a workaround though.

1 Setup lawena settings
2 hit “start team fortress 2”
3 Set your recording resolution via launch options in TF2 properties (if you’re recording at a different res than what you play at)
4 Run TF2 through steam

wont work after steam pipe arrives

Hello, I have a problem with Lawena. When I press “Start Team Fortress 2” program says “Starting TF2”, but nothing else happens(except ruined configs). Can someone help me? I tried:
reinstalling
checking if I linked to /tf folder correctly
running as administrator
downloaded some “fixed” version, but it didn’t helped aswell.

Would appreciate if someone could help me :)

is there an alternative recorder?

I just set the directory where tf2 should be installed (in tfdir.lwf) to the one where the configs are (“C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/Team Fortress 2/tf/custom/userstuff” in my case), it fixed it for me. Disabling the announcer voice/domination and revenge sounds doesn’t seem to work anymore though.
