Recorded 120 fps to tga, virtual dubbed at 120 fps using lagarith lossless, then rendered uncompressed on vegas at 30 fps, then encoded with 8000 bitrate. Still looks a bit choppy, anyone can tell me why?

Lookin at the vid again there’s really only a slight bit of choppiness… Not sure how that would occur really…

The point of trying it with a different encoder is to see if it’s an encoding problem (or if youtube does it). You probably can’t check it on the uncompressed output because your pc will probably not be able to handle smooth playback of that file anyway (but you can try though). Maybe the problem is already in the recording.

Oh and when you look for encoders, I recommend not to use seperate GUI’s but just download the latest binaries of that encoder and use it with Virtualdub (so you select x264 or xvid etc. in the “compression” window). Xvid binary: http://jawormat.republika.pl/xvid.html
