Why are you even rendering in ae when there appears to be no visual effects in the video? If you’re only adding cc and basic effects, use vegas on its own…

As long as you’re exporting properly from Vdub it should work fine in Vegas. Make sure you’re following the pldx tutorial to the letter. What version of Vegas are you using? Also try using the TGA method if you don’t already.

This may be unrelated but whenever I drop large files into Vegas it always takes a minute or so to scan the footage before dropping it into the timeline, maybe give it a minute too?
