Hi all,

cp_delayed is a control point map.
The map take place in a desert like in badlands or fastlane.
cp_delayed is initially a map made to be played by 6 players against 6 others.

I just wanted to show to you my work and if you could help me to improve this map I will be very pleased =)

Going to download this right now. The screenshots make it look great! I’m going to have to have a little run around before I can see how it will play out.

After running around a lot:

Mid point is great. There seems to be something for everyone. Trains for soldiers, chokepoints for demos and flanking under trains for scouts. I really want to see how this plays out. Seems that a lot of love has gone into this and I like it.

2nd point has that large low roof that can be accessed by many classes. This seems like a fun idea but the cap point itself does look as if it could get quite spammy. Many tunnels around cp2 are a little plain and boring. It’s nothing that a little work couldn’t fix.

Last point caps seriously fast, maybe too fast. Imagine badlands last point but wide open from all sides, and a defending spawnpoint much further away. In 6v6 I doubt a defending team will ever be able to successfully defend.

Other than that, the map looks promising and runs very well. I didn’t have any problems with dropping framerate etc.

Could you tell me exactly how I can modify on the 2de cp ?
Remove the tunnel ? Close the windows on the roof ?

The area coloured in green seems a little pointless and lets the rest of the map down. I don’t understand why this isn’t just a border to the map, such as a cliff face.

A soldier on the blue roof could lock down 2 entrances on his own. This could be a little unbalanced to teams trying to push out from their last point. This does not seem to be the major problem thanks to the alternate tunnel connecting the points.

An attacking team who has just won mid has little incentive to bother going through the tunnel that leads under the cap. http://i49.tinypic.com/o89zm1.jpg The attackers are funneled through one doorway that can be easily locked down by a demoman or random spam. I think that something as simple as a large healthpack inside the tunnel could make this route more viable.

The rooftop could be made a little more interesting, but as it is now, works perfectly and the windows prevent turtling.

The wide areas around the point could be too sniper friendly. A talented sniper could cripple any attacking team or force them to uber too early without fail.

-edited a million times but I really don’t want this map to go unheard.

Not good. You don’t want one player dominating an entire team thanks to map layout. You need to give everyone a fair chance.
