captime of 2nd / 4th could be a bit faster and maybe disable opening of 2nd resupp cause you can easily hide you medic in it while defending 2nd point

We’re playing a different version literally every night. This map is in alpha (even though its beta 0.o ) so its being changed so quickly theres no point. Just jump on IRC and ask byte for a d/l link if you want. :)

The map has more potential then the first impression gave away.

The right hand connector tunnel between 2/4 and middle feels a bit claustrophobic.
I think it wouldn’t harm if it’s made a bit wider.

Some other things but all of them were mentioned to Byte during playtesting.

Middle is a bit to badlandish imo but the fragga pack more then makes up for it :D

All in all fun map. Keep it up

Sorry about that Byte, CiC couldn’t get back to us in time to playtest it tonight so we went ahead and played regular maps, if it’s ok with you we have another friendly next week that we’d like to play Obscure on then?

I’m sure Crunchy will speak to you on irc anyway, looking good so far with the map!

Because it renders to much :). Such things will be fixed in final, but sometimes it may cause the layout to change a bit though.

Optimization is 2nd on mine and cod’s list game play and layout is number 1… and then making it pretty as Koeitje said…

Might just call it alpha to not confuse ppl tbh.

Hey all

So me and Codcrille have been very busy advancing on this map, just about every day the map has been played/play tested, which is great to see that the community are willing to try out at least and give constructive feedback as to what they think is incorrect or not fairly balanced in the map.

Thankfully not to be too modest we haven’t had as many complaints as I’d of expected… and baring in mind this has been tested from all skill ranges from div 6 to div 1…
The majority of people have just accepted it so well and so eager to play more of it. which is ace :D

Now i know it’s been sometime since i updated the screenshots but it has considerably changed and you wouldn’t recognise it : > This is only the final rough version (yus and its in beta stage kthx), codcrille is currently busy making a neat version of the map so that optimization can occur…. and fps lags being non-existant.

Good news is that this map will now be available in Scandinavian pickups for now… i’ve had lots of requests to put this map/ask f2 to put this map into MP pickup2’s map pool, as the “regulars” really enjoyed it and loved the fact that it was a different style of map yet at the same time every class is covered, i.e even heavy weapons guy can make such a big impact on this map even more so than badlands ask Extremer if u need proof :x :p

All i can or give you is a summary of how the map plays…

a) fast paced
b) cap times of 6minutes NOT 10 (which is too long in any map imo)
c) Variety of Classes and Locations are catered for on the map…
d) route/scenario’s which will decide the fate of a team even! =)

Stuff missing from the map are obviously landscapes certain textures and so on… however these are all minor aspects which will not affect how the game play runs, well to prove it every night i’ve had over 2/3 mixes on it so… must say something :x

You may get some fps drops as well like i said they will be dealt with and are being dealt with in the neat version but its not a big drop to be honest…
