European 6v6 team The Last Resort needs your help to get to the Insomnia 55 LAN event in Coventry, England, this August. We’re really keen to get over to the tournament and bring our game to the other Europeans and the two North American teams in attendance, but as it stands we’re about €1500 short of making that happen, mainly due to the cost of flying superstar roamer ShadowBurn in from Russia.

The Perks

Just like the fundraisers for the North American teams, we’re offering various perks for donating. We’re doing the fundraiser through Imraising rather than Indiegogo because it has much lower fees, but you can just leave a message with the perk you’re claiming and your contact information and we’ll handle it all manually.

€5 – Outro Credits
A special outro video will be created to mark the conclusion of TFTV’s coverage of the i55 LAN event following the end of knock out stages of the competition, crediting the individuals who made the event and it’s coverage possible. Be included in on this along with other donators as a special thank you for getting our players to England!

€5 – Raffle for a signed TLR team shirt
Your name will be entered into a raffle for a signed TLR jersey. We will draw this and announce the winner at the event.

Anyone claiming any other perks will also be receive the above two, as long as you provide the relevant information

€10 – Three rounds of MGE vs ShadowBurn, AMS or NiCO
Test your skills against one of Europe’s finest MGE nerds in a best of 3 rounds scenario. This perk comes with a ‘no ragequitting for ELO’ guarantee.

€15 – Mix with TLR players
AMS and Herr_P spend countless hours playing mixes, so it must be fun, right? If you’re paying for us to get to LAN, then we’d love to get to know you, so you’ll be able to join us to play some chilled 6v6 mixes. Any skill level, offclassing or onclassing, we’ll make it work. This perk comes with a ‘Scandinavian humour’ guarantee.
(Limited to 9 claims, and is subject to scheduling within European hours)

€30 – 1 hour mentoring / demo review session
Pick a TLR player to go over a couple of demos, watch your team on STV, or anything you want – we’re yours for an hour. You can pick any player for this perk but NiCO and ShadowBurn are only available in French or Russian respectively.

€45 – Your game casted by TLR players
Provide a live STV or demo and Herr_P, AMS, Serotone or HYS will cast your match.
(Limited to 3 claims, subject to scheduling)

€60 – Fragvid by AMS

FAQ

Q: What is i55?
A: Multiplay i55 is the summer iteration of the Insomnia Gaming Festival which is held in England tri-annually. For the past three years, teams from North America and Australia have attended, making the Team Fortress 2 tournament an inter-continental event. It’s considered the biggest event in the TF2 calendar, and the only place where teams from different continents can compete on an even footing.

Q: I thought you’re a sponsored team, what do you need money for?
A: Unfortunately we’re further along in the process of making plans for LAN than in the process of securing sponsorship funds. The Last Resort is working hard on deals for event tickets and PC rental, and these expenses are not factored into the fundraiser total. The money we’re asking for is exclusively for flights for ShadowBurn, AMS and NiCO, and accommodation costs; any other expenses will be paid either through sponsorship or out of pocket.

u should add more hours to the mentoring session

Yeah we unfortunately don’t have the same infrastructure as the NA campaign with the cool posters and stuff. We’re looking into the possibility of getting a larger supply of TLR shirts to offer but we can’t bank on it at the moment.

What do you think would be a more reasonable amount for mentoring sessions, 90 minutes – 2 hours? Or is the price too high?

10 and 15 euro perks are quite futile, all of them mge quite often and it’s not like it is so hard to get into mixes with Prem players nowadays.

id say 2 hours u could up the price abit then but i dont think theres much use in an 1 hour mentoring session

should donate , just to get Herr_P into THE ZONE again!
