I got an i-7 aswell and a gtx 285. HT enabled or not doesnt make any difference for me. Multirendering does make a slight difference 40~50 frames. But as long as the frames dont drop below the refresh rate and dont jump from 600 to 100 its fine.

AnAkkk

“Multicore rendering” is recommended disabled for EVERYBODY, just because Valve didn’t update the option menu to show up the correct thing. That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t use it.

Anyone else with an iX getting crashes with multicore support enabled?
Still getting more than enough fps on 1 core but I found it weird.

i appreciate the replies and now im starting to wonder if somethings up with my pc? Exfane dont scare me with that virus crap :)

If i stick things on full (including the anti aliasing and ansiotropic filtering) and run into an occupied server i break down to around 60fps.

7alpha do you just had a crazy graphics card or sumit?

as gibbz said, how do you disable hyperthreading? the array of information in the thread now has me squirmin abit. Time to google
