so after the recent halloween update my HUD has decided to break (again), using the old KNHUD
how it looks now: http://imgur.com/Zxp9Tgp
don’t have any screenshots of how it used to look but I guess you’ll figure it out, the target health was next to its name and the name was actually visible not just a weird mix of invisible white text and floating shadow.

rays: With the way the TargetID system works at the current time, there’s nothing any HUD developer can do in terms of reverting back the health location. There’s a section of the TargetID.res file (the file that controls the TargetID information) that deals with “SpectatorGUIHealth”, which is what we used to edit (in conjunction with SpectatorGUIHealth.res) in order to change the styling/size of the health numbers before they made the switch. However, because there were no major modifications to the TargetID.res file during this update, yet all HUDs (including the default) switched to this new system, this is a pretty good indicator that there’s nothing that can be done unless Valve decides they want to revert back their changes. It seems to me like they just ported the MvM boss health system into TargetIDs when inspecting friendly targets.

guess we’re all happy about valve “fixing” TargetID which is great BUT the name problem I have still persists so does anyone know how to fix it? http://imgur.com/Zxp9Tgp
