I found this quote on Reddit made by Josh (the Irish one?), which would suggest that TF2 won’t be ported on Source 2.
That’s wierd, left 4 dead 2 already had some work done in source 2 to showcase the engine. A lot of mods from L4D and TF2 can be found in each others game (payload zombie horde etc)

If they port TF2 to Source 2 they’ll probably unfix half of the exploits they fixed on the OB engine, considering most of these still work on Dota 2 and CS GO. Would be fun.

So I guess that confirms the leaks from half a year ago, which would imply a source 2 port is at least in the works
