Apparently some people want a so-called Pro-Mod, which does exactly ‘balance’ the damage etc. You can also enable tftrue_sticky_fulldamage “1” to get the old sticky damage. But it seems like it won’t be used in etf2l (what is good imo), simply read this thread: http://etf2l.org/forum/league/topic-29496/page-1/

well didnt watch the pepsilon and 4-20 game, but from what i saw from the logs, here is an idea if we are going to change the meta(only applies for viaduct imo)- we have a heavy going to midfights, since he deals a little more damage if the positioning is right. Once you have the point your hoovy switches to demo to set up traps as they do normal damage and spam pills. Wont apply for 5cp maps, because the rollout and early damage/zone with the full dmg sticks is unchangeble

the short circuit nerf was neccessery for other reasons too. In it’s original state it pretty much denied 2 classes completely (soldier had a chance if he had shotgun equipped, I guess). That’s just frustrating and not fun. it had to be changed regardless of wether valve thought demo was OP or not.

freaking valve. if they wanted tf2 to become a 8 class game they should have just told us instead of slowly ruining demo ’till no one will use it.

no but in all seriousness, why they didnt made sickys capable of being detonated only after touching ground?

this way you could still trap and be the damage leader, avoiding mid air spam which is what ppl (in pubs ffs, pubs) complain about. it would just require a little bit more skill to aim sticky, but you could stilluse demo as offensive-defensive class instead of being just the -sit and trap spam rollers and hope, eventually charge- class thats its now. but what do i know.

I don’t know what makes me the more upset. Is it that they are changing something which was the same during 7 years, or is it that Valve is beginning to change what were the fundations of a great game…

Everytime they released a new fucking retarded weapon, for pub players, I was like : “Okay I don’t care so much since the vanilla weapon will always be better (to a certain extend), and I don’t mind since they are doing this to please those who are only playing in pubs”. But now I am mad as fuck.

Vanilla weapons shouldnt be touched in any way. No one complained about them, it was balanced, and the only one who were complaning were the ones who got stomped by “enter class name here”.

If they are touching the demoman stickies, what it’ll be next? Scout’s scattergun reduced damage at close range because meatshots are overpowered and deal to much damage? Seriously, GJ Valve this game kept dying over the updates but here you sped up the process. RIP TF2.

No, heavy was already good on viaduct, but demo could spam him from uphill position, now you at disadvantage when not running heavy on viaduct, this update just amplifies shitness of that map and mod.
