TF2 crashes whenever i select scout.

it doesnt matter what i do. even if my mouse runs over scout in the character selection menu tf2 instantly closes. if i check his inventory it closes. please help ;-;

Reinstall your hud

or, if you have steam cloud sync turned on (turn it off!):
– remove all hud files
– launch tf2 so original files are downloaded for you by steam
– close tf2
– reinstall your hud

Or just post your scout.cfg.
edit: didn’t read the op.
It happened to me before, reinstalling my hud helped.

The new update is the cause. If you have any unusual equipped, it will happen.

The fix is to go to tf-ustom-your hud-resource-ui and delete ClassLoadoutPanel.res

Weird, mine was fine until I used the baseball bill’s no-hat. I love the randomness of bugs introduced with every update.

No idea, but i don’t think that’s a huge problem, valve are fixing game breaking bugs like this in a day usually.

I crash when selecting Scout in the loadout menu, or if I have an unusual equipped on any class. If you have an unusual equipped on a class, trade it to someone and then trade it back to unequip it.

Can play Scout though and even change between presets with the quick keys.

edit: HUDs didn’t have any effect.
