I must admit i am a big fan of heavy cli interfaces gives a look of times gone by, plus theres usually less of a chance of them breaking haha.

Its a shame to see so many people with the Tux tf2 item but so little use the OS for gaming, because really its quite good.

My Linux TF2 doesn’t let me rocket jump ;< Also noborder with gnome2 is broken.

Fix that and I can (semi)permanently switch.

Dr. med.

I have Linux Mint installed. Since the Cinnamon desktop is responsible for a black screen in TF2 when run in fullscreen and the FPS are inconsistent and stuttering, I am waiting for an update before trying it out again. Win 7 runs just fine, so I don’t really see a reason for troubleshooting.

The main reasons you are having issues is that ur using desktops envrioments that are either out dated for forked maybe trying to switch to another DE i used Ubuntu 12.10 with unity and tf2 was fine and im now using Arch with openbox and TF2 is fine :) untill big titles come to linux it will be hard for people to make the change but i think it will come sooner rather than later.
