I think it will be close, they have the ability to win for sure.
This tournament wouldn’t settle anything, except add one line to any future arguments:
“We beat you at LAN”.
If USA loses there are a number of excuses. USA only had 2 teams where as Europe had several teams entered. Different rules, different maps, home crowd, jet lag, not sending over their very best players.
If EU loses, there are some, but fewer excuses. Mainly revolving around the EU scene being ‘past it’s prime’, or something along those lines, but this is our tournament to lose.
If only we could get an equal sized US crowd over too! Maybe the donations will reach $200k :PPP *cough*
