My team currently uses Ventrilo for communication because we have a server already set up thanks to a kind person in our community, but our sister team uses Mumble. I know Mumble sounds better and has a nicer overlay, but what are some reasons to use Mumble over Vent, and vice-versa?

the codec is much better… and i think the servers are cheaper or even they are free…(fakkelbrigade mumble)

There is really no reason not to use mumble. Best in every possible way.

besides the better quality/lower latency stuff:
it’s open source.
and it doesn’t feel like kindergarten as the others do.
