“Maximum 10 matches in ETF2L Open played” Is this during the last X seasons, or since ETF2L started? Might be releveant for some people who played ages ago and wanna come back

Since ETF2L started. If they played a while back they aren’t new players anymore even though they might’ve not played recently.

How do I actually assemble a team?

I will warn you leading a team is a considerable amount of work, I would recommend you find a buddy(A more experienced player) to lead your team as they have experience with how the etf2l system works and can help you through the process. You can find a buddy either in this thread, http://etf2l.org/forum/freshmeat/topic-33864/ or in our recruitment section. Just make sure to sort by fresh meat and medic.

If you do want to go through with leading a team

To actually make a team, go here http://etf2l.org/wp/wp-admin/index.php?page=teams then click create a team and make it an 6v6 or fun team select a name and other details for the team.

However at that point you just have a team with only you on it, so what you will need to do is find at least 5 other players to play on your team with you. You can find other people who want to play but dont have a team here http://etf2l.org/recruitment/ just make sure to use the filters on the right hand side.

Then when you want to tryout the players you have gathered you need to find an opponent to test it on you can find such games in this discord https://discord.gg/SN8v2BX in the scrims-eu channel or this discord https://discord.gg/A2vzKcs in 6v6 scrims channel.

People there will post things like open – on – now, open is the level of game they are looking to play a game at, you want to look for open or freshmeat level games. On means they have a server, off means they dont have a server, now is when they want to play. If no one is posting you can post your own.

Once you have 5 players you want to play with go on their etf2l profile and click invite to team.

There are a few more things with regards to team leading that are important once a season starts. but this is what is involved with starting a team. As i said I REALLY recommend you get a buddy to help with this as they can answer any questions you have more indepth and quicker than anyone can on the forums.

I saw the days for the matches, but not the actual times, are those determined by the teams competing or are they preset? If they are pre-set, when are they?

The times are determined by the teams, although most games start between 20 and 21 CEST/CET

Last year the 6s season started around the 18th may. Will the fresh meat cup semifinal/ finals overlap with the 6s season or will the start date for 6s be later?

Hi, i am very interested in this but I have a couple of questions.

My computer is absolute garbage, so, besides the normal issues I face in Quick Play, is there anything else I need to worry about?

I love TF2 (1500 hours) but I don’t have anyone friends who have or as good as me (not to sound arrogant). I saw team recruitment, but is that reccomended for an entire team?

I live in New York, and this is ETF2L. Will that cause issues with ping and such?

Thank you for your time!

1.) If your game doesn’t crash every 5 minutes you should be fine. 6v6 game will also run smoother than your usual casual game where you have twice the amount of players on the server.

2.) I’m not entirely sure what you’re asking about but your best best is to just add the leader of the team and have a chat.

The best would be to find a NA team so the scheduling is easier. I saw there’s quite a lot of american players looking for a team so if somebody takes the initiative it should be no problem to create some NA teams from all those players.

Depending on the number of signups from NA region we might make a separate group so teams will be able to play on NA servers and at more reasonable times. However, when playing against EU teams the matches will have to be played on EU servers.

3.) About the ping. NY-EU is usually around 100. You can try it for yourself by renting EU server from here: http://serveme.tf

Hey, do you have to be inexperienced in competitive, or inexperienced in TF2 in general?

Do keep in mind that http://etf2l.org/new/ page is quite outdated so some information might not be fully correct.

I saw in the rules it says all players must have a demo file does that apply for all matches or just upper matches?
