whats the difference with dx 95 and 90? i used 95 untill now, so are there any graphical enhancements i would loose using 90?

afaik there isn’t any real (at least noticeable) graphical loss. i have noticed hardware-specific fps increases, but nothing to shout home about.

turning on vsync is a terrible idea. no reason to debug when vsync is bad full stop.

chris, why even in the maxquality configs some props are fading?
heres an example from koth_viaduct

bushes at the crosshair are fading at ridiculous near distance…
is this a map specific? what are the command to “fix” this?

also, even in maxquality i can see LOD detail level changes, any way fix to that? :)

using your dx9 config, but i want my AA an AAF to be maxed, 8 and 16, looking and mat_antialias and mat_aaquality dont know if they’re right but they dont seem to be scaling with 1,2,3,4 or 2,4,8,16 or whatever, care to help?

AVERAGE: 189,16 fps
