i wish the quality configs could get more attention

It’s -high option in the launch options.
Don’t know why or how but it just is. Chris could check this out?
thats normal, as i already said… chris should put caution on that startup command

I know about them. They are buggy.
This config fixed my TF2 Multicore rendering issues, before it kept sound looping and crashing but now i can run it on high settings again without fear of a crash

r_occlusion doesn’t do what it looks like on the tin — it doesn’t do HSD, it does some sort of strange polygonal in-view stuff. flick between it and you’ll see what i mean.

so i can’t get any Hot Surfer Dudes with it
there’s a problem with the gibs, i deleted the “delete this section if you want gibs” part but i still cant see the gibs, although i can view ragdolls.

try deleting old config.cfg? and make sure steam cloud isnt on
