nope, even with mat_specular 1 on dxlevel 8 the fire texture bug still appears.

I’ve made a mistake
mat_specular 0 = no shining uber = no fire texture
mat_specular 1 = shining uber = fire texture
It’s no mat_bumpmap issue, bumpmap will fix white stain on models

erm… this cfg is made for dx8 so im kinda talking about dx8 bugs not ur cfg ones… there are no stains on dx8 so i got no idea what are u talking about

Well, on mores cfg there were some problems with white stains – mat_bumpmam was the fix, nvm that
My brother is using dx8 with chris’s maxframes cfg
on all chris’s fps cfg bumpmap is set to 0, but there is difference with specular value,

1) mat_bumpmap 0, mat_specular 0
normal intel, no fire tex, no shining uber
If u dont need shining ubers this is the bes solution for fixing that “fire texture” and black intel

2) mat_bumpmap 0, mat_specular 1 [x]
black intel, fire tex, shining uber
specular doesnt affect fps that much I guess

3) mat_bumpmap 1, mat_specular 0
normal intel, no fire tex, no shining uber
lower fps ;)

4) mat_bumpmap 1, mat_specular 1 [x]
black intel, no fire tex , shining uber
low fps cause of bumpmaps – basically a high settings where black intel is valve fault

FPS configs updated, added command r_staticprop_lod “4” — it seems that 4 is not a cheat value for this cvar.

high priority should not be a problem, realtime might be.

even most of the computers needing this should be dual core, and the ones that aren’t will no doubt be Pentium 4’s, so it’s kind of irrelevant. I can’t imagine any other worse CPU being able to run TF2 even with this config.

Ok, just done a restructure of the configs, it’s now easier to re-enable sprays, and all of the re-enabling bits are in one place (at the beginning). :)

Very nice job, but there is still cl_playerspraydisable “1”, r_decals “0”, r_spray_lifetime “0” in the rest of the config, so enable sprays wouldn’t work.

I found a solution for my Mouse Lag Problem: http://etf2l.org/forum/general/topic-12173/

It’s -high option in the launch options.

Don’t know why or how but it just is. Chris could check this out?
