Hey guys,

Just to announce that after i49 in the start of September, we will be hosting a HL tournament with 3 divisions. Each division will have 1 or 2 groups (depending on popularity), each group will contain 6 teams.

The 3 divisions will be High, Medium, Low.
High = Div2+
Medium = Div 4 – Div3
Low = Div5 – Div6

On sign up, the team will be asked what ETF2L Division they think their team is currently at, and we will arrange divisions accordingly.

It will be a 2 day tournament, consisting of 6 matches, 30 mins each. 4 matches on the Sunday, 2 matches on the Monday.

We will have results etc on our site, so that its easy to see rankings etc.

It’ll be a little bit different from the normal HL, adding a little bit more fun in there by having 10 v 10, the tenth class is a DemoKnight. We’ve tested this out as a community a few times and its hella fun. Obviously it depends on the map chosen, but there are a few where it works surprisingly well.

Rules:
HL ETF2L Rules.
Only exception is 10 v 10 and an extra class called the Demoknight.

DemoKnights Rules are:
Primary: Either Booties or Bootleg
Secondary: Either Splendid Screen or Chargin’ Targe
Melee: Either Nessie, Eyelander, Persian Persuader, Cladeheamh Mor, The Half-Zatoichi, Scottsman-Skullcutter

Choice is up to you!

Maps:
We are currently deciding maps at the moment, if you want to help out or suggest stuff head over to http://www.teamawesomegaming.co.uk/phpbb/viewforum.php?f=381 and make yourself heard.

The main reason I’m posting on the ETF2L forums is to make people aware of the cup, last time we hosted one, I had a few angry people on my friends list who didnt get the spam invites. Now nobody has excuses :D

Sign ups will open in a couple of weeks. Just before LAN. I’ll post in this thread when they are up.

p.s People can use their own servers if they chose too, we know there are few people who lag on our servers. :(

announcing that we are now taking team sign ups for the cup. We’ve tried to make it as easy to sign up as possible. Just a quick form on our website, which can be found here: http://www.teamawesomegaming.co.uk/Wordpress/sign-ups/

Sign ups are open from today until August the 31st and team slots will be first come first serve.

Teams will be put into 1 of 3 brackets depending on their desired ETF2L division. 6 teams per cup division, so a total of 18 team slots to fill!

Hopefully getting some coverage for this tourny too depending on how pooped out everyone is after i49.

Just been asked about mercs, prob do 1 merc is allowed, 2+ if the other team allows it. but cant really see many teams saying no to mercs in this lol.
