Dear ETF2L,

Flavour Of The Month came up with the idea of organizing a lil’ something something for the summer!
That’s why we present to you: The Flavour Of The Night-Cup!

Why are we organizing this you ask?
Basically we’d like to organize more of these in the future, you can call this one our “prototype”.
We’re doing this purely to have some fun, and to get some more experience when it comes to the new maps.
Remember that this is just a small test-cup!

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

How many teams are allowed to participate?
16 teams, the first 16 teams that sign up (post below) are allowed to participate.

What skillevel?
Any skillevel, teams will be put into brackets randomly.

What maps will be played?
First round (16 teams): cp_coldfront_rc3 [Link] (2.4 – download here)
Second round (8 teams, quarter finals): cp_obscure_final [Link] (2.4 – download here)
Third round (4 teams, half finals): cp_freight_final1
Fourth round (2 teams, final): cp_gullywash_imp3 [Link] (2.4 – download here)

How does the system work?
The system is pretty easy, winners win and loosers loose, which means if you win you will proceed to the next round and if you loose you will be eliminated from the cup.
16 teams will be playing cp_coldfront_rc3 for the first round (Yes, 1 map only, 30minutes), if you win you will be playing the second round on cp_obscure_final against another winner of the first round…
After a match has been played, send someone over to mIRC #fotm and message the results to either “fotm|Brut”, “fotm|Marik” or “fotm|Tom”. We will enter the results and announce who will play versus eachother in the next round.
Remember only 1 map is being played per round.
If a game ends in a draw, you will be playing a golden cap round (The team that wins the round first will win the game). The golden cap round has a maximum duration of 15 minutes (deadline next match), if still no-one has wun a round by that time, the team who owns the most control points will win.

Rules

We demand that atleast 1 player of each team is online on mIRC and joins #fotm. This means we’ll have atleast 16 people in the channel.
If a team does not have atleast 1 player on mIRC in #fotm, you will be eliminated from the cup.
If a team does not show up, or is not able to play anymore due to certain circumstances, this team will be eliminated from the cup as well and their opponent will receive a default win.

Date and Time
This one-night-cup will be played on tuesday night 27/07/10
First round starts at: 8pm CET
Second round starts at: 8.45pm CET
Third round starts at: 9.30pm CET
Fourth round starts at: 10.15pm CET

Extra
We have 2 gameservers available for teams who do not have a server of their own (although I am sure that one of the two teams who face eachother will have a server to play on).
We also have an own mumble server available for teams who don’t have their own. If you would like to use our mumble, post below and we will create a channel for your team.

Mercs
There is 1 merc allowed for each team, but only if both teams agree with eachother.

Random skill brackets can either bring advantages or disadvantages, it all comes down to luck who you’ll face in the first round. As we don’t know how many teams will sign up with a different skillevel your team will be entered randomly.
