ETF2L’s stance on the fixture Arctic Foxes vs. LEGO
The above mentioned game has stirred up passionate discussions amongst the competitive community this week. Premiership team and playoff participants 
Arctic Foxes had forfeited their match against 
LEGO, leaving Unexpected no chance to book their ticket in the Season 27 playoffs.
The ETF2L staffmembers have investigated whether this default has been given with malicious intentions and came to the conclusion that there is no proof that Arctic Foxes forfeited the match in order to keep unexpected out of the playoffs. After talking to various members of both teams and other premiership players we are under the impression that this was the result of many unfortunate circumstances.
The timing of a defaulted match could not be less fortunate and we are not happy the regular season ends with a weird feeling in our stomachs.
But we have to see the bigger picture and make decisions based on facts; not rumours, hunches or gut feelings. This is also why we took our time make sure he have investigated all angles of this matter.
Regarding the statement of a teammember of Arctic Foxes on a friend’s stream about intending to convince his team to default, we have reason to believe that the desire of this player ultimately did not lead to the forfeit.
However, we are very concerned about this and will look into possibilities to change our rules in order to punish this kind of behavior in the future. Under no circumstances do we support intentions to circumvent our rules or the common sense of sportsmanship.
We all play this game in order to have fun while competing at the highest level possible. We will oppose anyone who tries to ruin or negatively influence this experience for other players.

Crasp is leaving our ranks due to lack of time. He has been inactive for a while and wants to make room for more motivated members to make an impact.

Bans
The following players have been caught cheating by the AC team. They will be banned from ETF2L for 1 year:
The following players have admitted to account sharing in order to circumvent the merc rule. They will be banned from ETF2L for 6 months:
The following players have failed to upload demos twice, and have been banned from the league for two weeks:
The following player have failed to upload demos three times, and have been banned from the league for 2 months:
The following player have failed to upload demos four times, and have been banned from the league for 1 year:
The following players have been found evading their bans, and will have their bans extended by one year:
The following player have been found distributing cheats, and will be banned for one year:
The following players have been caught with VAC bans affecting TF2, and will be banned from the league for one year:
+ 45 inactive ETF2L accounts.
As these players have not been caught cheating by our staff, their match results are not affected.
Anti-Cheat Staff Applications
The AC staff is recruiting again. We’re looking for individuals who want to make a difference and better the experience for all players of the league. We also encourage users that have already attempted applying for AC in the past to reapply.
AC members need to be trustable and have a good sense of morality, as well as being excited by the detective work and the technical aspects of the source engine that comes with demo viewing and cheats and such. It’s also important to avoid having bias and be respectful of the democratic process on voting.
Please don’t be intimidated to apply, as it’s a position that you can really only improve on with real experience. As Anti-Cheat is such a closed field, applicants aren’t required to have extensive experience to be considered. Feel free to contact us in IRC with !acrequest if you have any questions.
Check these guidelines for a more in-depth description of the application process. If you don’t fill out the application properly, we will likely deny your application. Promising candidates with an extensive application will be interviewed and welcomed to staff.

@Nightmare Yes i know that the account which is banned is first. I called it second cuz he moved to other.
As far as I am aware Nate constantly sold his accounts for cash and moved to new ones in the past, so his “alt” could just be one of those old accounts and on a game like CS:GO or something? Haven’t asked him though.
but you can’t transfer ownership of your steam accounts so the account is his still. If there is a VAC ban it means he’s responsible for it
alright so the vac ban is on one of my alts i sold like 8 months ago. the guy who bought it sold it again to the guy who cheated on it. the ban is for csgo though and NOT tf2… i never used any cheats in tf2 or csgo ever. also im literally on vacation right now and im shocked to see my etf2l account banned lmao

A big factor into having people be responsible for their accounts is that anyone can claim after their VAC ban that they “sold that account/gave to a friend/brother used it”. I’d be as easy as having a friend use it when contacting us or just impersonating someone else, so it’s very difficult for us to prove or disprove who exactly got banned on said account especially if it’s used by more than one person or on the same computer. I’m sure if you think it over you can sympathize with our dilemma.
If the VAC is for CSGO, we will remove the ban after having that specific account following us into a VAC secured server to verify. This is always the case. You can contact us at irc at any time to do this.

For real man, you shouldn’t act surprised if you are used to selling accounts. I believe when you say you never cheated on TF2, but selling accounts is not much better tbh.

also the account has not been playing tf2 since i sold it in september last year.
Steam only keeps playtime from the last two weeks unfortunately. Logs doesn’t include pubs/comp MM or getting VAC banned through payment card or family sharing from other accounts etc. An account can be flagged for VAC for over a month before it hits, although this is not really common unless it’s private cheats.
Did you just say that selling accounts isn’t much better than cheating in TF2? Yeah dude, getting some money for the games you have on your account is totally as bad as hacking lmao
FYI I do agree that it’s hard to prove it wasn’t him and I understand the ban, I’m just saying that the responsibility thing is a bit silly at least if it’s meant entirely.

I’m really struggling how you can interpret that from my comment @konr, or perhaps you’re responding to someone else. What people do outside of TF2 is frankly not our business. He’s banned for a VAC, not for allegedly selling his account. If that VAC is verified as not for tf2, we unban.
Why would you sell accounts anyway? The VAC ban hits all your alts and main account. The only reason people BUY accounts is to cheat on them.
