Ultiduo Cup #6 Banner

Its been a while but here we are again. This time around we’re having our friends over at serveme.tf sponsoring us. So a big thank you to Netherlands Arie. But let us not go on with the small talk for too long and jump straight into the action.

*UPDATE 2*

Another sponsor has appeared. This time around it’s Malta Snack with a BIG 42 keys!

*UPDATE*

Austria Kuferl is joining in on the sponsor listing as he donated 90 euros to the cup!

We’ve added a rule regarding weapon pickups and swapped out ultiduo_seclusion_b3 for ultiduo_grove_b2.

WHAT IS ULTIDUO

For everyone who never heard the term “Ultiduo” before: One medic and one soldier per team face off on the King of the Hill map. Whoever holds the central capture point for a total of 5 minutes, scores one point. The team that first scores 2 points, wins the map. There are some tactics, such as bombing the enemy medic while the allied medic stays in spawn or suiciding (as medic) if it becomes obvious he is going to die and lose his uber percentage anyway.

PRIZES

Netherlands Arie from serveme.tfMalta Snack and Austria Kuferl donated the following prize pool. Which is distributed as follows:

  • 1st Place – 2 * 1 Year Premium Codes, 50 Euros and 24 keys
  • 2nd Place – 2 * 6 Month Premium Codes, 30 Euros and 12 keys
  • 3rd Place – 2 * 3 Month Premium Codes, 10 Euros and 6 keys

Already 114 duos after 4 days, these cups are really popular. Maybe do more cups like this? (Bball, scout 1v1, etc.)

You want another MGE cup? get me a prize pool to work with and two weeks to set everything up

  19. TimTum: (ETF2L Donator) - -ƒ$-BLAH said:

But do you need a prize pool for every cup? I understand you often want to have a prize for the winners. We didn’t even look at the prize pool when we decided to join the ultiduo cup, we just wanted to have fun.

Related to this cup now, we have finally hit 128 teams to this cup!

Due to that we are possibly making minor changes for the playoff format in the cup from the ones mentioned above, we will make sure to notify about the final changes as soon as possible.
Group stage will remain as the same as before however.

  26. Jan: (League Admin) - |FV| said:

You wait until groups and fixtures are released. Then you check who you’re playing in round 1 and play!

  27. K-daz: OV said:

thanks m8, but what are fixtures ? (told you I’m retarded)

  28. DCS: (Legend) - notdoggo - Dr. med. said:

Fixtures are the actual matches, a schedule when you play against what team so to say. You will receive an email once your matches are generated and scheduled.
We will do that after we close the signups though.

  29. K-daz: OV said:

    Cool thanks for explaining ;)

  30. FleetingStar said:

Do we have to provide our own servers for this?

  31. Aoshi: (Legend) - - GRAHAM said:

@FleetingStart, yes. Try communication beforehand if either you or your opponents are getting a server. You can also rent one, for free, from serveme.tf. If neither you nor your opponent can manage to get a server try looking at rescheduling the match.
