Experimental Highlander Cup #5

Highlander Experimental Cup #5 features three largely untested maps, koth_fuel_a4, cp_intermodal_rc3a and pl_rust_b7. The Cup will be held on one night – Thursday June 5th with the final of each bracket played by Thursday June 12th. We invite Fun Teams  and Highlander teams of all skill levels to sign up! Teams will be grouped into brackets of similar skill where applicable, the number of brackets depends on the number of signups.

Signups will close at 23:59 on Tuesday 3rd June, with brackets published at 19:00 on Cup Night.

Schedule

  • 19:00 – Brackets Posted
  • 20:00 – Ro16 – koth_fuel_a4
  • 20:45 – Ro8 – cp_intermodal_rc3a
  • 21:30 – Ro4 – pl_rust_b7
  • Grand Final – Best of 3 played by Thursday 12th June.

Maps

All maps should be played with the same ruleset as during Highlander Season 6.

Whitelist

  • The Highlander Season 6 whitelist will be used. The list of blacklisted weapons can be found here.

    On a side note, we want to have some fun and play these untested maps. Tough luck if you’d prefer other maps. This is just a fun cup, not a season.

    This is what we’re trying to figure out. From the early playtests we’ve done we concluded that these maps were better than the others.
    We need to rotate maps into the upcoming seasons, but the main problem we’re facing is that there are no active map makers for comp maps.

    matarazzi, the time is when each round is scheduled to begin, usually in One-Night-Cups there are delays, so it’s simply waiting for when both teams are ready.
