Announcing ETF2L Highlander Season 3! Unlocks and provisional maps

It’s time for another season of Highlander! We have a lot of changes in store for Season 3 to be announced in upcoming newsposts – today we’ll start off with the weapon banlist and provisional map schedule for the season.

Season 3 Unlocks

ETF2L Season 3 will now use the same banlist for unlocks as UGC Season 8, in order to improve experience for players involved in both leagues. The only difference between the two whitelists is the High-Five taunt – it remains banned in ETF2L, as it allows players to peek through walls on certain maps without the downsides associated with regular taunts.

• The Cleaner’s Carbine
• Pretty Boy’s Pocket Pistol
• The Red-Tape Recorder
• The Huo Long Heatmaker
• Bombinomicon
• The Jingle Belt
• The Bootie Time
• High Five Taunt
• The Familiar Fez
• Ol’ Snaggletooth

Note that Polycount set hats are now allowed, with the exception of the Spy and Sniper hats. The Vita-saw is no longer allowed.

Provisional map schedule

After much internal debate, we’ve arrived at the following provisional map list and week structure:

• Week 1: Badwater
• Week 2: Gravelpit
• Week 3: Upward
• Week 4: Lakeside + [Haunt]
• Week 5: [Swiftwater]

Please note that this is a provisional map list and may undergo changes based on user feedback. Teams are invited to discuss the maplist and provide constructive feedback in [this] thread.
