i46 eXtv’s donation drive

Just a quick heads up to tell you all about our friends across the pond at eXtv are trying to bring 2 top class North American sides over to this summer’s highly anticipated Multiplay insomnia-46 LAN event. The top 4 teams from the continent have announced their intentions to attend the event, meaning that the winners of an eXtv arranged tournament will be sponsored to fly to LAN and settle the age old argument of “America versus Europe”.
The awesome people at eXtv have set up a donation drive, the link you can find HERE or chip in right below. If you have any spare change please chip in towards the cause and help make i46 the most spectacular LAN in TF2 so far!

Why would we want the yanks there? In what world would we pay sub par teams to what we have to come and play. I know I’ll set up a fund Swarlz fund so I can go over there and medic at the next NA LAN

Will donate some to see this happen. I’m thrilled that for the first time in history we will see NA and EU fight under equal conditions. I remember since Team Fortress Classic this has always been dispute.

If/when they do make it, will their matches be played according to the ETF2L ruleset the Euros are all used to, or the ESEA ruleset the Yanks are all used to?

We will be playing by the ruleset of the i46 event, which is to say the ETF2L ruleset and maplist.

There’s a tiny, remote, barren country I live in with moose, igloos, and unpaved ice roads north of the continent we call Canada.
@ Retsh0ck, can we also pay to make sure no israelis would attend? Would raise more money quickly and you can use it to build more walls!

You don’t even have to donate much. We literally have thousands of players on ETF2L, so you just need to donate $5 or $10 to reach the goal.

Why would esea players pay to send top level players to a LAN a trillion miles away from them that they will not experience or get much coverage from?? It’s the ETF2L players that benefit from this, we should be the ones donating the vast amount.
Plus I’m sure some esea players will donate, kind souls.

(I fail to see the point of sending them to an EU lan, the argument won’t be settled anyway coz of random arguments about teams having bad day/scene overall is better)
Why send em to EU? Just for fun, theres not much else to it. Debate thats been going forever settled once and for all, who will win?
Donating few euros is such a small amount that it should not matter to anyone else except Extremer.
