Highlander & Scout 2on2 Cup started

Gladly we managed to fill both doubled cup slot limits: An amazing number of 128 teams have signed for the Scout 2on2 Cup; 64 teams signed for our 2nd Highlander Cup! All Round 1 Fixtures have been published, links are mentioned below. For the Highlander Cup we also made a little seeding for the first 8 teams to prevent very good teams meeting early.

All round 1 matches have been entered, so it’s time for round 2. Here are the details:

TF2 Update

Due to the last TF2 update we have edited the first number of all SteamIDs (0 has been changed to 1). Besides, we had to make a change in our config as one cvar was renamed (“mp_stalemate_at_timelimit” to “mp_match_end_at_timelimit”). Please update your servers with the new league config again [Download].

4th Cup Final: Team Dignitas vs. Team CoolerMaster

On a little sidenote we would also like to announce the date of our upcoming 4th Cup Final between Team Dignitas, winner of the 1st and 2nd Cup, and Team CoolerMaster, current Cup title holders. Both teams will meet next Monday, on the 23rd February, at 21:30 CET. Match will be played as a “Best of 3” on badlands, well and granary with possible overtimes on all maps. Coverage details will be announced at the weekend!

    Yep… instead lets put a random div 5 team against the friggin favorite to win the cup for the most fun for all…

    Well I suppose I can see where you come from and even agree, but could there be something done about this for the future highlander cups? Give it a thought, thx

    To be honest this was just pretty bad luck for your team. Beside these Top 8 Seeding we haven’t made any other seeds, so any of the left 56 teams could have meet Jari Litmanen in Round 1. :)

    Even in the “top8”, the skill level varies quite hard. Also, there would be very few games for that group… And putting the top8 there makes it not easier for many teams tbh, there are always “higher” teams in a cup :(

    Like Rez say, team france highlander is just a joke, all players in the teams have a skill between low+ and mid+ but no experience in highlander match. I think there is something like 63 teams better than us before.
