The first ‘Super Sunday’

The United States has their ‘Super Tuesday’ for every presidential election; as we don’t like Tuesdays, we will have our own super day, the ‘Super Sunday’. Sundays are the last day of a Game Week, but many times the most important one: On our first ‘Super Sunday‘ we have 11 games entered in the Calendar:
- 18.00 – Division 4 – Die Philosoffen vs hb0da
- 20.00 – Division 3b – jAgarna vs Prima Nocta
- 20.30 – Division 4 – x23 vs Long Range Recce Patrol
- 21.00 – Division 1 – charge vs Blood Pressure
- 21.00 – Division 1 – Clan United vs The Last Resort
- 21.00 – Division 2b – last one alive lock the door vs Neatmeat
- 21.00 – Division 3a – clanda vs Kaizen
- 21.00 – Division 3a – Friede seiner Asche vs plan-B
- 21.00 – Division 3b – 9 Men vs Slackerz
- 21.30 – Division 2a – Va Chier Mec! vs Weapons of the Rebelion – SourceTV @ 217.64.127.26:27020
Sadly I can’t announce any Source TV IPs yet. We hope to have some own league servers soon to have much more possibilities to have some Source TV action. Until that we would please every team to upload some demos, preferable at RedRum-Demos. I have also created a Replay Thread where you can post replay links to your ETF2L game.
We also want to remind you the 2nd Game Week is coming right through, don’t forget to schedule your game and add it in the Calendar after. Remember only one team leader has to add the game.
Please also make sure you are doing the three screenshots which will be needed to submit the result on the site (one status screen before game starts, and final scoreboard screenshots of every map).
We also have to announce we had a cheater problem, lyuno from team N!nja used a wallhack and autoshoot in a French gather. As conclusion lyuno will be banned at all ETF2L competitions in 2008. We also have to make a rule addition: Any kind of “doublejump script” is forbidden. A player using a “doublejump script” in a league game will be punished.
As our site admin ST8 will be back from vacations tomorrow we will also have some site changes during the coming week.

First of all. Entire clan must be banned, not only one player. IMO – player who used cheat once must be banned forever. This is abuse action to normal players, so why the hell we should allow this player play with us?
And second: “Any kind of “doublejump script” is forbidden. A player using a “doublejump script” in a league game will be punished.”. Is this joke? scripting always been the strong part of such games.. too many things ppl have to do by hands.. I don`t know.. maybe somehow double jumping allows to reach some forbidden regions? maybe.. or give you an advantage of speed? maybe.. this is just an script whats mean – you always can do this by hands, or have your own copy as you will. IMO – Its nonce to forbide scripts.
I’ve always suspected lyuno / wata of cheating.
A few weeks back we played him in a pcw, as he was running past cp3 towards cp2 on well he turned and shot a spy that was 1/2 – 3/4 the way thru his cloak tank (so completely invisible) and was in a really obscure place. Realising the mistake of shooting an invis spy he carried on running to cp2 and tried to pretend he didn’t just shoot an invis spy because of his autoshoot hack. Quite funny really.
As for N!nja, they are a good lot and have responded by removing him from the clan, I have no doubt in my mind that they were unaware of the cheat in their midst so don’t think and serious punishment should be needed against them. However I can understand if clans that have played N!nja in a match in which wata was playing would request the result overturned.
Isn’t this why we record demos? If you think someone is cheating, just ask for their demo o.O
Also apparantly the doublejump script allows some sort of exploit third jump, I’m not sure how it works
Waizer. How you can be sure if things are already turned away from N!nja? I didn say N!nja all cheaters team or somthing else like that, but Team must be punished as they found this one and get him to their lines. Its a kind of threat to teams to be more careful in the future. Cheaters must be punished.

He was punished, he was removed from the clan and banned for 08 in etf2l. Was going to say should create some sort of banned thread, known aliases/names, steam id, why the player was banned and the period this player is banned for.
@mihalch: My own opinion would be a lifeban aswell, but I am not deciding alone and a ban for 2008 will be ok for the moment I think.
And as it’s not sure if he used wallhack+autoshoot more often or just in this one gather we can’t know if N!nja knew about it. I think there reaction showed they are against cheaters and I am sure they were just unlucky. Nobody actually can be 100% sure if any teammate of him cheats, as you are not sitting beside him.
@Waizer: Luckily N!nja didn’t play any ETF2L with wata, so that’s no problem here. :)
@Shifty: I hope it does not happen that often that we will need a list ;)
I fell we have to manage such list one day.. so just to keep all cheaters warned somewhere a kind of this list should exists. Like rtcw/et/b4/cod databases. (pbbans.com punksbusted.com..)

Hi all ^^
Can anyone please be a bit more specific about this “double jump” script and tell me what’s its purpose/effect?
And, if possible, I’d like to be advised a bit about that other “massive duck spam” thing as well…
Me and a few clan mates have been debating about what they are and what they could possibly be for since we read their names while checking the rules… We couldn’t come up with a reasonable explanation for ourselves (unless the latter really makes you fire repeatedly very big migratory birds… j/k), so, we’d like some-very knowledgeable-one to shed some light on this subject for us, just to be on the safe side you know ^^
Just in case you are wondering: yes, before asking straight away I’ve tried already to look for these answers myself ;)
Unfortunately good ole Google turned out to be no help at all in this case (except for that taunt/hitbox stuff I found in a video from youtube… though I’ve to confess that it seemed quite lame and its still pretty obscure to me under what circumstances that could possibly be considered cheating or even a mere helpful exploit while playing worth to be included in a “no-do” list ^^’)…
